How about these ideas.

1. When anne, Sasha, and Marcy end up in amphibia (or Anne getting home, depending on when it takes place) they find that when going through the portal, things like clothes don't travel with them.

2. Instead of Amphibia, the music box takes the 3 to another world entirely.
