In the land of darkness where Salem's castle resides, the dark mistress of Grimm was working on preforming a spell she had once use long ago, with it she'd be able to shrink down on being and it would give them squishy properties making them unkillable, basically making them a nothing more than a toy for Salem to mess with.
With the spell she'd be able to weaken Atlas army and take over Atlas, unfortunately the spell took a lot of power to conjure up especially given she was going to use the spell on an area as big as Atlas and while Salem couldn't be killed her magic had its own limits as after preforming the spell she'd be left in a tired weakened state.
Of course when she would preform the actual attack she'd have her army of Grimm with her so they'd do the work of attacking Atlas after she had preformed the spell.She just needed someone to test it on.
Emerald walked down the halls of the castle nervously, worried of what Salem had summoned her for, knowing full well what happened last time she needed to meet with her.
Emerald then entered Salem's bedroom, the room that she had been told to go to as she was met with the dark queen, currently wearing a much more intimidating outfit then her usual look, (the outfit she had at the end of volume 7) as Salem looked at Emerald with a smile.
"Dear Emerald, it is nice to see you've finally made it here, I assumed you might take a bit longer with what happened last time I asked you to meet up, I'll let you know that I this time I didn't ask you to come here due to any mistakes you've made recently but due to something I have to ask of you" Salem said I a casual tone while Emerald replied nervously.
"Yes, miss Salem, I will do whatever you ask of me" Emerald said while shuddering, being loyal more so out of fear then actual loyalty, with Cinder gone Emerald felt like she was alone, only agreeing with Salem due to fear of what would happen if she denied Salem's requests.
As Salem looked back with a smirk as she held her arm out, a ball of dark energy forming from it as it grew in size, "Well then I have this spell that I'd like to show you, I assure you that you will receive no harm from it, I just need someone to let me know that it will work" Salem said deviously as the energy ball kept growing, Emerald was to terrified to reply as the ball of darkness grew bigger and bigger until *BOOM*
The room was covered in smoke as Emerald was knocked to the side of a wall, coughing as she tried to bat away the smoke before looking at herself for a moment, confused as she noticed her body didn't change, only for the smoke to clear up and see what had changed.
"Wait.. Miss.. Salem?" Emerald said with confusion as she saw Salem only a few inches tall as Salem looked back at Emerald with anger realizing that she had hit herself with the spell and not Emerald, though she tried to keep her anger under control, "Well then, looks like the spell worked, not correctly but at least we're aware I can preform it, now to use another spell to return myself to norm-" Salem stopped herself as she tried to use her magic, only to realize her power was gone, making Emeralds previous fear turn to confusion and then a smile.
"Is their any problems Miss Salem" Emerald said in a casual tone still having a smile on her face as Salem tried to get her magic to work "Not at all child, now please leave me alone for a moment so I can reverse this spells affects" Salem said before going back to trying to use her magic to no avail, "the shrinking spell would've weakened her but not taken away her magic completely, especially since she had only use the spell on herself rather than all of Atlas, why wasn't her magic working?!" Salem thought only for her thoughts to be interrupted by the next thing Emerald said.
"Actually I'd rather not" Emerald smirked as Salem looked back at her with Anger, "What do you mean?" Salem retaliated not intimidating Emerald in the slightest as she said her next words.
"Well if your all small and powerless then there's nothing you can do to stop me from disobeying you or stop me from doing anything to you" Emerald replied in a mocking tone as Salem shouted back with fury "YOU DO KNOW I'M YOUR LEADER AND YOU HAVE TO DO WHAT I SA- AAGH" Salem said cut off as Emerald casually stomped down on her with a smile, knowing of Salem's inability to die, Emerald didn't hold back in the slightest with her stomp as she repeated stomped in place and pounded Salem into the ground, stopping for a moment to peel Salem up as she noticed her squishiness.
"Whoa, I didn't know you were squishy, must be a side effect of the spell, well whatever now that your like this you can't do anything to stop me from doing whatever I want to you~" Emerald teased as she rubbed the white and black blob of Salem putty in her hands while Salem screamed from inside her squashed form as Emeralds mind flooded with ideas of how to have "fun" with Salem...
