Now powerless to freely move in your current state, you are left with no choice but to observe your newly sentient headless body from your head's resting position on the floor. It was difficult to see what was going on from such a low angle, but your body appeared to be pacing on the spot; no, possibly trembling? You notice your legs shaking in front of you. Looking up you just manage to catch a glimpse of your body grasping at it's empty neck stump aswell as the air directly above it. Was your body searching for your head?
"Uh, down here, big guy!" You awkwardly call to your body, unsure of how to even speak to a headless body that was under your command just moments ago. However you seem to have caught it's attention as it turns around to face you. You attempt to look up just as the body carelessly lets go of The Longsword. You wince as the blade just narrowly misses cutting your head as it hits the floor.
"Careful! You almost got me there!" You yell, scowling as your body kneels down and picks your head from the floor. You feel as if you are weightless as your body lifts you into the air with ease, holding you out at arms length as it inspects your head. You can also observe your body clearer from this angle as you notice the short piece of neck protruding from your shoulders with a flat, skin-covered surface topping it off. As your body tilts you backwards to get a better look at the underside of your head, you imagine it looks much the same.
As your moment of self-observation comes to an end your body carefully sits you down on a nearby table as it wanders off in what looks to you like a panic. You watch as your body frantically paces around the room looking for something until it finally picks up the note that you found along with The Longsword. It continues pacing as it appears to be studying the note, though you are unsure how it can do that without a brain or even eyes to read with.
Once it appears to be done reading, your body returns to you & gently lifts your head up. You can feel your hands shaking as you worry they might drop you, however they manage to keep a firm grasp on either side of your head. You then feel yourself being turned around & lowered onto your neck. As the ends meet you feel a wave of sensations enter your brain as your head reattaches to it's rightful place on your shoulders. Despite this however, you quickly discover that your body is currently still in control of itself as you feel yourself bend down to retrieve The Longsword without having given such a command yourself.
Your body wields The Longsword in front of itself with your right arm one last time before pressing the button on the hilt. To your relief you immediately feel control of your body relinquish back to you. At the same time, you feel two sets of memories from your separated experiences merge together as you become whole again. Recalling the new memories you have just gained you discover that your sudden decapitation wasn't exactly a pleasant experience for your body either as it frantically tried to find a way to undo your mistake & put you back together again. You thought your experience as a severed head was worrying, but it appears that you put both parts of yourself through a bit of a scare.
Looking down at The Longsword which is still in your right hand, you realise that you will need to be more careful with it in future. It's power is very real & very dangerous when handled carelessly.
