You look at your hand with disgust. Not only are you not going to get the high hand, you probably are going to end up with the lowest. You decide that keeping the ten and the eight is your best chance.

As it happens, you get the eight of hearts, the seven of clubs and the three of spades.

Pair of eights. Maybe it will be enough to keep you off the bottom. Maybe.

As it happens, Jill ends up with the low hand, with just a pair of fives.

With a sigh, Jill takes off her gloves as the next hand is dealt out.
