Vanessa shuddered as the door shut behind her, rolling her newly purchased hunk of wood between her fingers. Taking it out of the smooth, white, cloth bag, the wand... didn't look particularly impressive. A short branch, dyed blue with strange squiggles and lines carved around the base, with lots and lots of what looked like arrows carved in pointing up towards the point. It was kitschy, and Vanessa was honestly feeling kind of cheated, spending as much as she did on a dyed, carved twig. Still, she might as well hang onto it; it could be a conversation piece, or at worst, she could simply forget about it in some closet.
Still looking the wand over, Vanessa continued down on the street. The man had mentioned being able to move things with her mind. What a joke!
