Chapter #5

Catching the Tail End of a Bad Mood

    by: Reddmon Author IconMail Icon
"W-Watch where you're going, human!" The skunk-girl growled at him. She sounded simultaneously embarassed and angry, and based on her reaction, it wasn't him she was angry at directly but RJ thought it was best not to risk pushing that.

"I-I'm sorry ma'am." He says stepping back and raising his hands. "I-I was just in a hurry to pay my rent, I didn't want to be late."

"Well, you're certainly going to be late now!" Maya yells, suddenly grabbing him and pushing him to the ground. RJ had a feeling where this was going when he looked up to get an eyeful of Maya's backside.

"Pl-Please don-"

RJ's attempt to defuse the situation was cut short by a sudden spray of gas and liquid from the skunkette. The combined scent smelled awful, though RJ had a feeling it'd get worse if he didn't hurry and get out of Maya's line of fire. He stumbled to his feet, having difficulty breathing as Maya turned and glared at him, the maid starting to walk toward him.

RJ's lungs burned, was there something else to that gas or did it just smell that bad? He didn't want to find out, but at the same time, it was hard to force his legs to move while he was having so much trouble breathing...
