Before the conjoinment clinic, there was a small bioengineering company who was conducting unique research and experiments for the government. The company was rewarded a large grant to refine a super-soldier program. Many different members of the military had volunteered to be apart of the human trials.
This company, through some combination of mystic arts and pseudo-science, had developed the technology to completely merge two individuals into a single being. This new person would have no personal memories of the two previous individuals, but it would retain all of their factual knowledge and training. It would follow order to the letter, without question. The combined person possessed the skills of both individuals and almost super human levels of strength, stamina, and regeneration. It was a perfect soldier.
At the end of a mission, the single being would be split back into the two separate individuals again. The two people would have no memories of their experience as a single person. Any information learned while joined would be completely wiped clean. This provided the added benefit of limiting personnel who were aware of confidential government secrets.
This story takes place at the heavily fortified and secret research base. The building resembled a small, bland university, with several concrete building and a parking lot. Volunteers lived on the premises in housing near the research buildings. Scientist had been collecting data of the abilities of each super soldier, and they were nearly finished. However, another powerful government got wind of this secret program.
This story takes place during a raid of the facility. Two pairs of individuals were hastily preparing to enter the Chambers, large windowless tanks where the fusion process commenced. It was the team of scientists' hope that their super-soldier form could help with defending the research and the researchers themselves. However, something terribly goes wrong. Power is knocked out, and the back-up generators do not kick in. The two pairs of individuals wake up, with their minds intact, but their bodies not completely merged together. Somehow, they will have to find a way to cooperate their joint bodies or risk being captured.
