The pool was crowded today, full especially of girls from the college who were there to relax and have a little fun on the weekend. Fortunately for Mackenzie, all of them knew how to swim perfectly well, which meant that there wasn't a whole lot for her to do right now. An hour or so ticked by with her spending more time on her phone than paying attention to the poolgoers, and she was starting to fall into a bored reverie when suddenly...
"EEEEEK! NOOOO!"
Jolting upright, Mackenzie looked for the source of the woman's shriek, thinking someone must be drowning after all. There was what looked like some sort of commotion happening over at the deep end of the pool, but no one seemed worried. In fact, everyone seemed to be laughing.
Confused, Mackenzie jumped down from her lifeguard's seat and ran over to see what was happening. Getting closer, she saw a small group of girls in swimsuits standing at the poolside who seemed to be laughing at a girl in the pool - an attractive young woman with dark brown hair, who was treading water and hugging herself awkwardly for some reason. One of them was holding something in the air just out of her reach, and Mackenzie recognized it as...oh.
It was a bikini top. The girl in the water was topless, and trying her best to cover her breasts with her arms. "Come on!" Mackenzie heard the girl holding the top say, waving it over the topless girl mockingly. "Come on out! Come and get it!"
"No!" pleaded their victim, red-faced. "This isn't funny guys, give me back my top! Please!"
"I don't know Angie, I think it's pretty funny," said the girl holding her top, eliciting enthusiastic assent from the others. "Now come on out of the water! Don't you want your top back? Or would you rather that we come in there and take your bottoms, too?"
Nobody was paying much attention to Mackenzie. The girl in the water - Angie - was too focused on attempting to preserve her modesty, and her "friends" were occupied with thoroughly enjoying her embarrassment. Mackenzie had a feeling that as lifeguard, she had a responsibility to try and do something to help the half-naked girl...but at the same time, a slightly cruel part of her wanted to see how this would play out...
