"H-How about this," Stacey started, "I can head down this path -"
"Come on!"
"I'm telling you guys, it's this way-"
"-and we can make a bet on it." The idea of a wager silenced her friends protests. "Whoever gets to the end first, wins."
"Wins what?" Molly asked, still impatient to get darted, but intrigued by the idea.
"Uh..." Stacey hadn't really thought that far ahead; the idea had fine to her quickly, as a way of diffusing the argument.
"I have an idea," Rachel started, a sly smile creeping across her face. "The two losers have do do a forfeit for the winner. Any one thing the winner wants then to do, and they can't refuse."
Stacey started to protest, but was cut off by Molly. "Sounds good to me! I'll see you guys at the end!"
"You're on!"
And with that, the two ran down their seperate corridors, eager to win. Stacey on the other hand, wasn't so thrilled. The bet had been a way of calming things down- now she had a while different problem. If she knew her friebds- and she liked to think she knew them pretty well- they were going to go all out with these forfeits. What looked like a fun night might end up as a humiliating Halloween...
With that in mind, realizing she had long since stopped hearing her friends footsteps, she started through the maze in the best way she could come up with.
