This choice: Serenity go talk with Dr. Asuka Fushida about her money and what to do with it • Go Back...Chapter #10Serenity go talk with Dr. Asuka Fushida about h... by: Mr. Leedles   Serenity caught the sarcasm that dripped down from Ring's voice, but even still, what Dr. Fushida had been talking about caught her interest. Much to the chagrin of Dr. Ring, she walks over to Fushida.
- "Thank you, Serenity, and I'm sorry that you had to hear what my colleague and I were discussing."
A weak smile tries to get through to Asuka's face, but it can't quite get there. Resigned, she sits down.
- "Well, I...I still don't quite know what to do with all of the money, Dr...a-and I was...wanting to ask you what I should use it on?"
Fushida stands up, and the smile finally breaks through as she motions for Serenity to move in closer.
- "Well, do you have any ideas for what could be needed? Remember to take care of yourself and family first, of course."
- "No, my mother has always been able to take good care of me, and besides, Joey's already becoming an adult, so...I don't really think that he would need-er, well, would want my help a-anyways..."
Sighing, Fushida brings Serenity closer.
- "But what about yourself? After all, it is your money, has there been anything you've wanted recently?"
- "What would I have been able to see that I wanted before the surgery?"
Clasping a hand to her mouth, she steps back from Fushida
- "I-I-I'm so sorry! I-I didn't mean for it to come out like that, there-there's just that, uh, well, there's-"
Dr. Fushida stops her though, continuing her smile as she brings Serenity closer to her.
- "I know you meant nothing by that. After all, I don't think you could ever really mean to be harmful...in fact...I have a good idea of what the money could do for you."
- "W-What is it, then?"
- "Come with me, Serenity. I'll bring you and Tristan somewhere where you can get this. It's going to be a decently long ride, though."
Standing up, Fushida takes Serenity. She looks over at Dr. Ring, who is ignoring her completely, and she just turns around and continues to walk. Heading out, there's no sign of Watanabe or Sanaka. Still, the regular staff treat this without any confusion and continue on their job, until both of them get to the lobby. Tristan stands up, walking over to Serenity.
Tristan : "Alright, so are we good to go? And uh, who is this with you?"
Serenity : "Actually Tristan, I was hoping you'd be alright with us going for a bit of a ride. Dr. Fushida here says she has an idea for somewhere I could use the money."
Tristan : "Wait, what do you mean somewhere to use the money? She isn't bringing you to go gambling or anything, right?"
Dr. Fushida : "Ah, you must be Tristan...but no, I can assure you this place is nothing of the sort. Just a little ma and pa shop that I frequent. I think Serenity's going to love it, but of course you have the option to refuse."
Giving another of her smiles, Tristan seems to calm down and steps to Serenity's side.
Tristan : "Alright, but I'm warning you if this ends up putting Serenity in any sort of trouble, I'll be coming after you!"
Dr. Fushida : "And if there is any trouble, I'll let you do just that."
Her smile almost seems to gleam at Tristan when she says it, closing her eyes for a moment as the three of them begin to walk off. Fushida leads the way, and it doesn't take long for Tristan's eyes to avert downward. Watching as Fushida's bouncing behind goes back and forth with each step, giving a rhythm to a non-existent song. After a few seconds of watching this, it almost becomes a type of hypnotizing, emphasized by when they make it outside. He does manage to snap out of it though once the sunlight begins beating down on him.
"Just about there, aaaand here's our ride!"
Dr. Fushida stops just in front of a modest-sized car, nothing too big, but nothing too stereotypical for her based on her height either. Walking past as Fushida gets in, Tristan holds open the passenger door. Serenity gets in, giving a quick thanks to Tristan before he gets in the backseat.
"Now, I must tell you before we go that the owners are quite a bit...eccentric, so to speak."
"How do you know so much about this place? I get that it's a small store but you seem oddly intimate with the details."
"Well, I have my reasons to knowing about it..."
The ride begun, and after a few minutes they pull up. The sign out front reading "HFA Store: Healing For All" looks completely outdated, a faded wood that has seemed to be forgotten to time as indicated by the vines covering its corners and bottom. The building itself however seems to be top-of-the-line, as if it was just built a week ago. Still, they head inside. A bell chimes, sounding straight from an elderly bell tower, and the lights brighten up as from behind the counter, a duo spring to their feet.
"HI HI! Welcome to-"
"Wait, is that you, Asuka? How long has it been, a few weeks? It seems like the healing water has been helping you, you look even younger than before!"
"Aw, please stop. It hasn't done that well...although it is a bit easier to move around."
"Well who's your friend there?"
"That's Serenity. Serenity, meet Kairi and Hiroshi Fushida, aka my mom and dad!"
