The trigger clicks the moment the visitor steps across the barrel. The transposer comes alive with a buzz and bursts forth a burning ball of light. Rippling waves distort the air it travels through. A pulse of warmth washes down your arm, chest, and face. The ray strikes the guest, and a force, either caused by the blast or the target's surprised reaction, causes the door to slam shut.
The recipient glows as a ghostly white silhouette, and amazingly, as if the blinding beam of light wasn't evidence enough, they begin to shrink, proving the device works! Their head drops lower and lower as their figure shrinks smaller and smaller, but a short second later, it all stops. Between two and three feet tall, the bright figure sheds their phantasmal skin and are revealed to you.
