This choice: Mr. Lionel and Dr. Cecile waiting for you as planned  •  Go Back...
Chapter #4

Board meeting

    by: Unknown
"Greetings ladies and gentle men, I represent an organization that means to profit from the super humans in your facility and have been authorized to pay a substantial sum just for hearing me out", you say as you remove the briefcase from your wrist and open it to reveal over a million dollars.

"We've already gone down this road, the none of these super powered beings are ready for combat", Dr. Cecile states.

"Oh no, you've got it all wrong, I'm not hear for a military contract I'm hear for a commercial contract, do you know how many of these super powers could be used out their to make money, rather than be stuck in here bankrupting our country?"

"If that were true you wouldn't have come with such an obvious alias, 'John Smith'", Mr. Lionel almost spits on that last part.

"You're right, it is obviously an alias, but ever since these super powers were discovered corporation espionage has skyrocketed I have merely taken the name to protect myself and my company".

"Alright Mr. Smith, we'll hear you out but first give us an example of one of the powers you want to use and how it will make us money".

You pull out a file with the list of everyone currently in this facility.

"Where the hell did you get that?!", Mr. Lionel snaps.

You just keep your cool as you pick a name and power from the list. "Ah, here's one, Sam, the power to change people's genders. Do you know how many people out there spend heaps of money for gender reassignment only to never truly become that gender, with Sam's powers we could sell the service at the same rate only in less time and more effectively".

"I don't deny your point but as Mr. Lionel asked, where did you get this information from?", Dr Cecile asks with a stone cold face.

"Like I said, corporate espionage, it's everywhere these days and I trust you can't expect me to give away my source, that's bad for business", you bluff as you don't know who it came from.

"Indeed", Dr Cecile states. "Well Mr 'Smith...."
