Luckily, Trevor took the infant and got her ready for bed. This gave Micki a chance to explore Trevor’s house. The last time Mike was at Trevor’s house, it looked like a messy bachelor pad. But now, the house was decorated nicely with a woman’s touch. There were pictures of their wedding on the wall and vases and flowers everywhere. Micki walked around examining how in-depth this wish had become. Inside the master bedroom was a bed full of pillows. Micki peeked her head inside the walk in closet to see a huge collection of women’s shoes and clothing. Micki knew this was all hers in the new reality.
Micki managed to find her cell phone in her purse and couldn’t wait to call Denise. She would certainly get a kick out of the wish. They would have a good laugh before Micki figured out how to use her new genie power to wish herself back into her old life as Mike.
Instead of saying hello, Denise answered the phone call by saying, “OMG! Micki? Is it happening? Are you going into labor? If we leave now, Darren and I can be there tomorrow! You weren’t due for another 2 weeks!”
Micki was confused hearing how Denise was talking. It was as if she had no recollection of ever being married to Mike. And who was Darren? Micki figured the genie power must have had something to do with it. Micki replied, “No. I’m not going into labor yet. I just called to uh..see how you were doing and say hi.”
For the next 5 minutes, Micki listened as Denise gabbed on and on about her job and Darren. Micki figured out who Darren was. He was a college friend of Mike’s and dated Denise before Mike did years ago. In this new reality, Denise and Darren must have gotten married. Instead of meeting Denise in college as a date, Denise was now Micki’s best friend in this reality. Micki wasn’t sure how to tell Denise about Trevor’s wish and wondered if Denise would even believe her. Micki figured the best thing to do was use the genie power to just return things back to normal. She would explain everything to Denise afterwards and have a good laugh.
Micki ended the phone conversation and thought about how to get out of this reality. Should she just wish things back to normal? Should she be more specific with the wish? Micki had only recently gained control over her genie power and wanted to make sure she did it correctly.
Meanwhile, Trevor came into the room holding in the infant and handed her to Micki. Trevor whispered, “You better feed her before bed.” Micki held the infant and quickly figured out what Trevor was eluding to. The infant was crying and Micki felt her nipples starting to lactate. All Micki wanted to do was use her genie power to get out of this reality. But the crying baby was sounding desperate and Micki unbuttoned her shirt. Micki couldn’t help but laugh at the irony of the new experience, “Oh well….This will be even better material to write about someday!” Micki held the baby to her breast and the infant started sucking away. Micki was in amazement looking down watching the baby feed.
Micki still couldn’t believe her current situation. She was now married to Trevor, breastfeeding an 18 month old baby and was pregnant with another child. Still retaining the mind of a man, Micki wanted to get out of this situation as fast as possible. But the writer inside Micki knew this was a unique experience. Spending a few more days inside this new reality as a wife…mother..and pregnant woman all at once would be invaluable research to his writing. After all, Denise had no idea she was ever married to Mike in this reality. What would a few days hurt right?
