Go to the priestess anyway

"I shouldn't trust dwarves, him especially. Talen had an uneasy feeling about the dwarf and the way he smirked, it wasn't friendly, more like dangerous.

"I'd like to meet the priestess. I don't have anything to give to you."

"Oh my boy! Blind, a bit deaf and a liar! What a combination! Bravo!"

"Let me pass," Talen stepped forward only to be stopped by him again.

"But you won't find her, you know nothing about this land." The dwarf spoke, his brow raised.

"I don't care. I will find a way, I will, I always do." Talen didn't care for the dwarf, he was tiny, he couldn't stop him even if he wanted to.

"Come on boy, where are you going? Let's, t. . ..talk some more!" Talen stopped in his tracks as he glanced back at his sudden change of attitude,

"What did you say, dwarf?"

"Um, don't go yet, just talk some more or else I'll. . . "

"Or else what, dwarf, you don't have magic in you." Talen looked at him, suspiciously, he wasn't what he seemed to be.

"Yes, you are clever, boy." The dwarf grinned, Talen's sixth sense warning him, bells ringing in his mind.

"What?"

"Yes, you are correct, I am not what I seem."

"I do not know what you are talking about, dwarf." How did he do that? Talon wondered as he masked his feelings and suspicions.

"No need to mask your feelings, I can read your thoughts."

"Hmph, that's funny. you are a dwarf! You don't have magic!"

"But that's the thing, I am not a dwarf and I have magic. . . "

"Wait, what?"

"Tituri Tituri Tituru. . . Come and play, run along boy, I will chase after you." The dwarf's figure changed into something large, something big, it was taking some other form, a woman wearing a long dark blue robe, her black hair falling into a cascade. Here blue eyes stared right into Talon's hazel eyes. He watched as her blood red lips turned upside in a teasing smile.

"Who . . . What are you?"

"I am what you seek, I am the high priestess and you are going to become my dinner. Let's play."

"No wait! W-wait! You w-want to play r-right? If I win, you don't get to eat me and you will answer everything I ask."

The priestess rubbed her chin, as she considered his offer then spoke slowly, challenging. "And what if I win?"

Talon took a long, deep breath and he fidgeted, biting his lower lip. He knew he had to do this.

"Then I am yours."

"Deal. Let's play, honey."
