A man of average size and brown hair wearing eye glasses spotted Laura and Steve he immediately informed another man who was a little larger than the other man with black hair. Laura and Steve were frightened but also a little curious to see who these men were and if they were kind or if they were like the dwarfs.
The two men walked over to the door way and when they arrived they saw that Steve and Laura were still tied up.
"You must be pretty uncomfortable with those ropes around you." said the smaller man.
"Yeah we are can you help us?" Steve pleaded.
The men untied the ropes from their hands and then from their legs which had been tied together.
"Who are you guys?" asked Laura
"We are the same as you we are slaves to the dwarfs
they keep us here and make us do work for them."
"What kind of work do you do?" asked Steve.
"Whatever they want from us, we cook them food we farm their crops, and we give them information about life in our environment. Like they want to know about our electricity, and our gas, and oil, all of that information." said the larger man whose name is Bob.
"Yeah we are here for their pleasure and mostly so they can learn about us and our ways." said the smaller man named Chris
"How many of us are there? asked Steve.
"There are about twelve I'd say counting the two of you that is," said Chris.
"Well don't just stand there come on in and we will make you a bed of hay for each of you. you will have no privacy here the place is like a jail except it's in the outdoors."
"Why do they want to know all of this stuff about us? asked Laura.
"We are not sure . Laura is that what you call yourself"
"Yes"
"I'm afraid you are going to be the only female among us. I think we will try to give you as much privacy as we can under the circumstances." said Bob.
"I'll manage, I'll be alright don't worry about me I grew up with three brothers so there is not much you could do or say that would shock me or surprise me I don't think anyway."
Steven and Laura got their bed of hay straitened up and sit on the hay talking about the people they had met and what had happened to them so far.
CRASH! BANG! BOOM!
a loud noise came from behind the gate and then the gate opened and in came Heeshe and three other dwarfs. Laura recognized one of the dwarfs as being the one who had tried to scare her. She grabbed Steve by the hand and held it tightly. She could smell the scent of honeysuckle and roses, and she wondered where the smell was coming from.
The dwarfs used magic and when their magic was being used those scents could be smelled all over the camp. The day was fading quickly .
"I see you have been released from your ropes,
let me warn you not to try and escape because if you do I will catch you and there will be hell to pay!"
said Heeshe.
"I want to know why you are holding us here we don't belong here we have a home we would like to get back to it , we were just passing through the woods we did not intend to hurt you or your property. We just want to go home," said Steve.
Heeshe looked at Laura and then back to Steve and he summoned one of the dwarfs to take Laura with them when they left. Steve immediately jumped to his feet and tried to stop the dwarf from taking her. when he did that Heeshe pulled out a silver coin and pressed it upon Steve's arm and Steve fell helplessly to the floor.
It was some sort of magic and it rendered Steve powerless. The dwarf took Laura, who began to struggle and the other dwarf got on the other side and the two of them took her away from the camp as Heeshe followed. After they left with Laura Steve was still helpless on the floor, Chris ran over to him to try and help him up.
"Where are they taking her?"
"I don't know but she is different she is the only female in camp even the dwarfs, they are all men."
Outside the gate the dwarfs force Laura into a hut and make her sit on a cot that was there. Heeshe came in and sit behind a desk that was near the cot. He looked at Laura and dismissed the other dwarfs.
