This choice: As Laura and Steve walk, the dots of light follow • Go Back... "Steven!" Laura's eyes widened as the glowing dots of light continued to follow them. "I just want to get out of here! What are those things, anyway?"
"I'm not sure, but they don't seem dangerous... at least I hope they aren't," Steven said. "Just keep going. They're closer to me than you, so if they attack or anything, it'll be me first."
"That's reassuring," Laura said sarcastically, but secretly, she was glad to be ahead of him. "You know," she added, peaking behind him, "they're letting off a glow, so if something else wanted to attack us, at least we could see it before it got here."
"True," said Steven thoughtfully. "Or it could see us quicker."
"You're right. But you do also have a flame of fire in your hand, so I guess we'd be spotted anyway. Actually, maybe someone good might find us in here and help us."
"What's with the positive attitude, Lore. I thought you were scared out of your mind."
"It's weird, Steven. I suddenly feel calm, relaxed, filled with peace. It's really kind of odd, don't you think?"
Steven shrugged. "Now that you mention it, I'm feeling the same way," he said. "You don't think it has anything to do with those dots of lights following us, do you?"
"I wouldn't be surprised," said Laura. "I wonder... maybe they are peaceful creatures who are going to help us... or protect us in some way. I wish we knew for sure."
"We could try talking to them," Steven suggested, stopping.
Laura stopped walking, too, turning to face the dots of light.
