Named "Music and Hunger", it was a place for anyone wanting to meet lovers and see the greatest musicians. They always had artists that never played anywhere else, several of which were your favorites. You never thought much of the "hunger" in the name, and assumed they were using it as a synonym for lust.
And so, you walk past all the typical bars and strip clubs to the more prestigious area on the street, full of clubs that turned away anyone without a subscription. A sign catches your attention, big bright pink text flashing on and off. "Music and Hunger". You walk up to the front door, and surprisingly no one is waiting outside. Just a big bouncer, a huge and muscular arcanine, waits for anyone that approaches.
You walk up, and he looks at you, somewhat skeptical. He speaks with a gruff voice: "You have a subscription card?". You take it out and hand it to him, and he takes out a scanner. It glows green when it scans your card, and he hands it back. "It's legitimate. And you've marked yourself as prey, right?" You hadn't been sure what that meant when you signed up online, but it sounded somewhat sexy. You didn't mind the idea of being dominated by either gender; or even one of those famed herms.
He puts a wristband on your arm, just below the spike on your elbow, that proudly read "PREY" in capital letters. He smirks. "Alright, you go in and enjoy yourself." You smile, sort of giddy as you walk in through the doors, the smell of sweat and the sound of music hitting you and filling you with excitement.
You join in with the crowd, dancing your heart out as the beat pulses from onstage. Some of the people here seem to have weird bulges in their stomachs, and stranger still in their pants. You don't think much of it, but soon enough something unexpected will happen...   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
