Chapter #6

The Less Obvious Choice.

"A Pen" You said to your teacher. You picked a pen because the book and the robe seemed rather too obvious. If there was one thing you learned from Melvin it was that not all the answers were obvious, some were hidden and it would take a sharp mind to find them. Melvin looked at you before asking you. " Are you sure, if so then explain your reasoning."

"A pen doesn't seem like the right answer from the way you said the answer, however you always taught me that the right answer isn't always the obvious. That and a pen can represent creativity a skill needed for a mage to create his own new spells." You explained to him.

"I wont tell you whether you got the answer right for this one, that is something you must decide for yourself." Melvin said. "However enough with training for today it's time to get back to business. Excavating this tower."

Melvin didn't tell you whether your answer was right or wrong, but you felt that it was right. For now that was enough. You and him helped with the excavation of the tower until finally you reached the entry way point. From Melvin's face you can see he was extremely happy upon discovering this.

"Finally! The tower's entry has been located and just as I thought it's one of the Old Seven Star towers!" He exclaimed.

"Seven Star Towers, What exactly do you mean by that Melvin?" you asked curious about his answer.

Melvin surprisingly answered you directly for once. " The Seven Star tower's once belonged to an order of magi known as The Seven Star Guild, there presence and knowledge of magic was the most advance available at there time. However one day they were all mysteriously wiped out. Just imagine the information that they could have in there, perhaps even a clue to what wiped them out in the first place. Well I'm getting ahead of myself the first thing to do now is rest and will enter the tower tomorrow morning."

You and Melvin went in your tents and prepared for tomorrow morning. Hoping nothing more would happen at night while you rest.
