Our story begins in the monster-filled town of Bagel Heights when Antala was driving down the street and then her cell phone started to ring loudly as she received a text from a friend and decided to check it out, forgetting that at the time she was driving. She was so busy that she didn’t notice that down the street there was a van that was coming to a stop. The Van had an image of a white hole on the side of it, surrounding a galaxy.
In the front of the car was a couple of male monsters, both of which were cyclopses. First there was an older cyclops with red-orange-skin and no hair who was wearing an apron like a cook. The other cyclops was significantly younger and had pink-skin and freckles and was wearing a cap on his head. From the looks of it, they were coming back from city hall.
“What a stroke of luck that the Mayor signed the seal of approval for us to put up the White Hole in Bagel Heights.” “I wouldn’t celebrate just yet, Corey,” said the older cyclops. “We still have to be ready. I’m expecting a shipment of Jupiter Jelly. It’s made from a newly discovered plant that grew where a meteor landed. It appears to be safe for consumption. I think it will be very popular.” “I should hope so, Uncle Ivan,” said Corey. “Especially after what happened back in Strawberry Valley.” “That was unfortunate,” said Ivan. “But they finally caught him before he could do some real damage.”
The cyclopses’ car came to a stop sign and Corey stopped his vehicle. However, Antala was still texting in her own car right before she noticed Corey’s car. She gasped and tried to turn on the brakes but was too late and rear-ended Corey’s car, spooking the young cyclops who switched the car to park as Ivan clutched his chest. “Great Zeus!” yelled the older cyclops. “What was that?!” Corey immediately got out and yelled as he spotted the damage done to his car and then spotted Antala’s car. “Uh-oh.” Muttered Antala.
Needless to say, Corey was triggered and angrily tapped on Antala’s car window. “Come on out of there you jerk!” Antala stepped out in embarrassment as Ivan came out of the passenger seat of Corey’s car to see the commotion. Corey saw Antala’s cell phone in her hand and was even madder than he was a second ago. “You idiot! Don’t you know that texting and driving can get people killed!?” “I’m sorry,” muttered Antala. “I wasn’t...” “You weren’t thinking!” yelled Corey. “Look what your stupidity did to my car! I demand restitution.”
Antala took out her wallet but there was nothing inside of it but her driver’s license. “I’m really sorry, sir. I’m tapped out at the moment.” Corey was about to erupt again but Ivan intervened. “Corey, calm down. I’ll pay for the damages. As for you, young girl. I think I know of a way for you to reimburse us and make up for it. It just so happens that we have an opening at the White Hole for new employees." Ivan took out a cap and uniform and handed it to Antala as she let out a groan.
At that moment at the White Hole, the delivery truck came before Corey and Ivan could even reach their donut shop and a large burly minotaur with an eyepatch dropped off a package containing jars filled with a strange glowing jelly of some sort.
