The world's only Gorgon (presumably) pushed herself upwards and rushed towards work. Taking a car was faster...for a human at least. It seemed Gorgon physiques were much more different than that of a normal person. Her feet flew off the asphalt like it was a bird and Barbara bounded towards her destination. It was a strange mixture of sprinting combined with a hop.
After every ten hops of her feet, Barbara would touch the ground, followed by her sprinting sixty or so feet until she began to rush forward with a bounding leap. Rinse and repeat. She didn't feel a bit winded from all of that running, it was natural for her. Today though, it felt like she was slower for some reason.
"Am I just tired or am I gaining weight right now?" Barbara thought to herself. "I wished there was a dietary plan I could follow."
Her mind went back to her earliest memories of her life. Right until she smacked right against a pole.
"Yeowh!" She cried. The gorgon promptly landed on her tush. Rubbing her backside to soothe herself. She looked at the pole in front of her.
"Where'd you come from?" She cried, pointing at the offending object.
"It was always there, you just hit the thing once or twice every week." A local face named Josh said as he walked past Barbara. Grimacing, she steadied herself.
"Well, it should still watch where its going!" She cried out. Stretching, she noticed an odd thing. Placing her hands over her buttocks, she could feel a few tears here and there.
"Great. It ripped my clothes too!" Barbara cried out. Wait, landing on your butt doesn't normally tear clothing or does it? And right now Barbara could feel her hands being filled up by a small margin.
