"Ah, how I love the smell of the night! So fresh and clean!" Luna sighed contently as she gazed out open an open starry sky from her second-floor porch. Since she was a young lass, Luna had found a deep fascination and appreciation for the night sky and all the treasures in the heavens above. It was especially helpful after long days spent dealing with troublemakers and boring school statistics that her sister placed upon her.
"Let's see, telescope lens set and focused. Position set in the northern hemisphere for optimal gazing. And...perfect! Alright, time to see what's out here tonight!" she giggled in delight, peeking ito her telescope. Swinging it gently to and fro, she smiled as she pointed out her favorite constellations and satellites passing by. Suddenly, a strange, glowing body rushing across the sky caught her attention. Tracking the odd sight, her scope followed the object as it closed in on her position until it hung eerily over her.
"What in the..." she started before being interrupted by a harsh white light blinding her.
