It was another nice sunny day in the Kalos region.
Ash , Clement and Bonnie were on their way to Ash's next Gym Battle with a stop planned at a Pokemon Showcase on the way.
The gang were in a wooded area and stopped for lunch.
As they ate the usual fight over food took place among the Pokemon.
Behind some bushes Team Rocket was eating as well while they spied.
The gang soon finished lunch.
"Yumm delicious as always! After that big meal training is just thing to burn off some calories" said Ash
"Sounds like a good plan to me" said Clement. "And I've got just the thing! The future is now thanks to science" he continued.
Clement then took out a big remote from his bag.
"I give you my "Quick Experience and Stat Boosting for more efficient training remote mark 1" it makes training far more effective" he said.
"Wow Science is so amazing" said Ash.
"The name is kinda long and could use work tough" said Bonnie
"Isn't kind of like cheating or an unfair advantage though" asked Serena.
"Yeah no offense big brother but Serena is right" chimed in Bonnie.
Clement was utterly defeated and sat the device on top of his bag.
"Fine good old fashion battle training it is" said Clement.
Team Rocket meanwhile had been eavesdropping.
"So the Twerp invented something to help Pokemon get stronger eh? Sounds like a something we could use" said Meowth.
"It's brilliant if we steal the Twerps invention combine it with one of our gadgets and a power boost we can use it on Pikachu and Dedenne we can make them even more the cream of crop for when we steal them" said Jessie.
"They'll be the most Primo Pickins ever picked" said Meowth
Carefully as the gang trained they snuck over to the bag with the aid of the bush. Then they grabbed the device and snuck back off.
Later they finished their training and packed up.
Clement didn't even notice the remote missing as they set back out on the road.
As they walked down the path suddenly Ash, Serena and Clement fell into a hole.
Pikachu and Bonnie barely avoided it but Dedenne and her purse she carries it in came off.
"Ouch that hurt" said Bonnie falling on her face due to losing her balance.
"Oh no don't tell me it's who I think it is" groaned Ash in the hole.
A Robot knocked aside a few trees and appeared shaped like a giant Meowth with the letter "R" on it and a bit satellite antenna dish thing on its head.
Jessie, James and Wobuffet were on top.
"To unite our peoples within our nation." James said.
"To denounce the evils of truth and love." Jessie said.
"To extend our reach beyond the stars above." James said.
"Jessie!"
"James!"
"Team Rocket... Bringing trouble at a break neck pace" Jessie said.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight, fight, fight!" James said.
"Meowth! That's right!" Meowth said.
"Wobbuffet!!!"
"Oh no it's Team Rocket" said Bonnie
"Grrr Team Rocket" growled Ash as he , Serena and Clement tried to get out of the hole.
"Hey why aren't all the Twerps in the hole" asked James
"Who cares it's just the littlest Twerp and a Twerpette to boot" said Meowth.
"Meanies if I were bigger you'd be sorry" said Bonnie.
"Oh please once a little Twerp always a little Twerp. Besides even if you grew overnight we'd still be bigger" huffed Jessie.
"Enough tiny Twerpish talk handover Pikachu and Dedenne" said Meowth controlling the robot.
"No way" said Bonnie.
"Pika"
"De-denne- ne" said both Pokemon rushing forward to defy Team Rocket.
"Ha those saps are playing right into our hands" said Meowth. "Now time for phase 2 of the plan" he added pressing a button. The satellite on the robots head powered up and the red energy building up obscured the fact that Clement's device was in the center.
"Take this Pikachu and Dedenne" added Meowth
A beam started to fire.
"No leave Pikachu and Dedenne alone" yelled Bonnie jumping in front of of the 2 Pokemon and in the beams path.
Both Pokemon looked at Bonnie shocked. The beam struck Bonnie and she got shocked.
"Aaaaa" yelled Bonnie as the red energy surrounded her.
A few moments later the machine started to smoke.
"Uh oh somethings wrong with the machine" said Meowth.
"Well then turn it off" said James.
Meier tried turn it off but instead as is typical with a Clement invention it began to malfunction and the power of the beam continued to intensify.
"Aaaaa" shouted Bonnie as the energy grew stronger shocking her more.
After a few minutes of steadily growing stronger the machine started to spark and the beam stopped.
"Uh oh I got that flying feeling again" relented Meowth.
The machine then exploded into pieces and sent Team Rocket flying.
"Looks like Team Rocket's blasting off againnnnn" shouted the attempted thieves.
The energy around Bonnie slowly faded and although she seemed unarmed she fainted.
Ash, Serena and Clement managed to escape the pit in town to see Bonnie pass out.
They rushed over to her. "Oh no Bonnie" panicked Clement.
They quickly rushed to give her first aid.
Later the sun was setting and Bonnie was still out cold.Serena put a fresh rag on Bonnie's forehead. She seemed to have a fever.
"How's Bonnie doing" asked a concerned Clement.
"Her fever appears to be going down. I think she's going to be okay" said Serena.
Just then Bonnie began to stir.
"Huh what happened" she said.
"Bonnie thank goodness you're okay" said Clement.
"Oh yeah that's right last thing I remember that weird beam from Team Rocket's robot coming at me" said Bonnie.
"Yeah we were worried you were hurt by whatever they did" replied Clement.
"You still have a slight fever though you should take some medicine and rest some more" said Serena.
"Ohhh Okay" whined Bonnie. She winced at the taste of the medicine. "I'm sorry to be trouble" she relented.
"It's fine besides you saved Pikachu and Dedenne" chimed in Ash.
"Yeah and besides you're still a little it's our job to take care you" said Clement.
"I know but sometimes I wish I were bigger then I could take care of myself" said Bonnie.
"You'll grow up soon enough and someday you'll be big enough to handle things on your own" said Clement.
With that Bonnie went back to sleep.
That night as everyone slept though Bonnie began to change. Still wearing her usual clothes she began to slowly grow in her sleep. She felt nothing and everyone else was asleep so the slow growth went unnoticed.
