"You see the zipper? We'll use that." Apollo said, pointing to the front of Athena's tall boot.
"... Alright." Phoenix agreed hesitantly. "You first?"
"Sure."
"Try not to lose your grip, OK? We're both gonna have a nasty fall if you do."
They got to work. Apollo approached the towering zipper and braced his hands on it. It was weird, but surprisingly feasible as a climbing route. If they could make it up to the highest point of Athena's boot, even if they couldn't make it all the way up to her skirt or anything else before she got moving again, they would at least have a safer position from which to ride out any movements she made.
The zipper was almost like a strange sort of ladder. Apollo found a good rhythm, and once he did, he was moving much more quickly than he'd expected. Phoenix was never more than a few seconds behind him. His boss looked quite nervous.
"Almost there!" he called out once he was nearing the last few inches. "You OK?"
"No, but we'll have to make do!" Phoenix answered.
With considerable effort, Apollo dragged himself onto the upper ridge of Athena's boot, around the highest part of her ankle. He perched himself there, shuffling aside so Phoenix had room as well. The older man struggled a bit to clamber onto the ridge as well, so Apollo helped him out.
"... Wow..." Phoenix panted. "That went better than I expected, but... still, are we even safe up here?"
"I don't think so, but it's a whole lot better than being on the floor." Apollo replied. "Maybe we can-"
Athena suddenly moved. Apollo and Phoenix both made startled noises, their arms waving through the air for a grip on Athena's boot.
Both missed. With their yells mingling in the air, the two shrunken lawyers tumbled backward, bumping against Athena's ankle before toppling straight into the opening of her boot and vanishing from outside view.
Athena was getting to her feet.
