Moving around the basement, Joe felt something was off. He took inventory of his workspace and noticed that some of his growth pills were missing.
Upstairs in her room Megan examined the bottles. The pills were small and capsule like.
"oooo red candy. It looks tasty" said Megan.
She then opened the 1st bottle and took out 3 pieces of "candy"
She put them in her mouth and sucked on them then swallowed.
"Mmmm yummy cherry flavor" she said.
It had been Joe's intention to make the pills palatable to the test subject hence the flavor.
Megan happily and blissfully unaware of what she was ingesting took 4 more pills.
Moments later Megan heard footsteps and hid the stolen bottles.
Her brother Joe then popped in.
"I'm looking for some pills I've been working on. They were in my lab that the family is banned from and now 2 bottles are missing. You haven seen or swiped them have you" said Joe.
"Nope but if I find em I'll let you know" said Megan nervously.
Joe eyed her suspiciously then left. Megan pulled out the 1st bottle then quickly took a handful of pills this time and woofed them down. Just then Joe returned.
"Aha I caught you red handed this time you little thief! I'd tell mom on you but I'm more worried about you taking those pills"
"What pills? These are my candies now and I'm keeping them" said Megan swallowing 2 more pills in defiance.
"Are you crazy? Those aren't candy" said Joe rushing to take them from Megan.
She managed to dodge him.
"I told you, they're candy and they're mines now" said Megan.
"Megan, those aren't candy and they haven't been tested yet! They aren't safe" exclaimed Joe, "I'm calling the paramedics hopefully you haven't poisoned yourself." He said finally getting the pill bottle from her unaware or rather forgetting she still had the 2nd missing bottle somewhere.
Just then Joe's friend slash secret crush came in having come over to visit and heard some of the ruckus.
Joe was distracted again.
"A-Anna what brings you over" he asked.
"I heard a commotion and rushed over. While your parents are away I promised to make sure you and Megan don't get too out of hand" said Anna.
They were soon interrupted by Megan.
"I don't feel so good," groaned Megan, "I feel like I'm going to throw up."
"Don't throw up!" exclaimed Joe, "It could make things much worse."
"I can't keep it in," she said, hunching over. Megan's body tensed and spasmed and oddly vibrated a little . She stayed bent over for a few seconds, trembling, then straightened up. "I feel better now," she said, "actually, I feel good... Like really good... The best I've ever felt."
"At least you didn't throw up," said Joe, "and the pills don't seem to be harmful, but they didn't...," he trailed off as he looked at his sister.
"They didn't what?" asked Anna looking down at Megan, "Wait, is she taller?"
Megan had been short for her age, but as Joe and Anna had noticed, she was growing taller. She quickly passed four feet and kept growing. She'd worn a sweater and sweatpants, which were tightening around her expanding body.
"I feel strange" said the enlarging girl.
Megan's growth continued, rendering Joe and Anna speechless. When the growth ended, Megan stood 7"7 significantly taller than when she had started. Her clothes were quite torn in many places. Whatever wasn't in shreds was incredibly tight and a bit revealing.
"Wow," said Megan excitedly, "no one at school's going to call me short anymore! I'm the tallest kid in my class. I'm the tallest kid in the school. I'm probably the tallest six year old in the world!"
"They worked," whispered Joe.
"What worked?" asked Anna, overhearing his whisper.
"The pills. They were designed to increase the height of the subject and there don't seem to be any harmful side effects," he explained, "I am however more than a little worried given the amount of pills she had that this is all that they did... So far... This is not good"
"Not good? Are you kidding bro? This is great! I hope I get bigger! Maybe I can be bigger than my favorite tv hero GigantaGirl Galactic Space Ranger" said Megan.
"We need to run tests on her and get some of those pills out of her stomach stat" said Joe pulling out his phone.
"No way! If this candy makes you bigger I want more. I want to be the biggest 6 year old, no the biggest girl ever. I wanna be bigger than my favorite hero from my show GinormaGirl" said Megan selfishly.
