Scenario 1 Melanie Kevin's little sister gets hold of the Aliens "Tiny" frisbee sized space ship complete with Growth Ray as seen in Season 1 episode 21 ( Part B cause each episode contains 2 minisodes )
However instead of Kevin, Krypto and The Aliens tricking the toddler into returning the "tiny" saucer and growth Ray following her initial spurt and a chase Melanie either keeps the Ray and remains her current size of a house or she keeps it and gets more doses of growth Ray goodness.
Lex Luthors Pet iguana Ignacious in Season 1 Episode 2 "A Bug's Strife" once used a Growth Ray invented by Lex Corp to enlarge a caterpillar he spotted via telescope in the distance as a bigger snack/meal to eat.
However in zany cartoon fashion the unexpected happens. The caterpillar initially only gets slightly bigger but it's enough to please Ignacious. As Ignacious goes in for the capture the caterpillar has another small growth spurt pleasing Ignacious further. Soon after as Ignacious tries to eat it it grows a 3rd time this time to big to eat. The caterpillar then flees undergoing a series of growth spurts causing Choas until it becomes a cocoon and is relocated by Krypto
As an alternative to this I propose the following.
Ignacious planning on using the ray on the caterpillar activates it and fires however for some reason it's malfunctioning and its target instead of locking onto the caterpillar locks onto Kevin's little sister Melanie who he's taken to the park. Ignacious fires the ray unaware that it hit Melanie. He sees no change to the caterpillar and fires 2 more times hitting Melanie each time.
Shockingly no one notices Melanie get hit 3 times and the toddler appears unaffected and unchanged at first. Each time she's hit or has a change tho a strange glow surrounded her and the tyke feels strange.
Frustrated the Ray did nothing to his potential meal Ignacious kicks the machine calling it worthless. It then sparks, smokes and falls to pieces.
Later on Melanie begins to have growth spurts.
Kevin and Krypto don't notice til later and soon have to figure out the cause then eventually get the Ray fixed. All the while Melanie will keep growing and growing and growing and they have to figure things out whilst trying to keep the growing toddler from causing as much Choas as possible and her growth a secret from friends and family if possible.
