A spell is cast on her during battle

"Lady Eirika! Are you alright?" Seth called out as he galloped his horse to Eirika's side.

"I'm fine, Seth. Focus on the battle at hand," she replied.

"Understood." Seth charged into battle again, heading towards an approaching soldier. As much as Eirika hated to admit it, the fight was wearing her out. Between the war with Grado, and the rising threat of the Demon King's fiends, she and the rest of her small army had had practically no time to rest. She couldn't back down, now, though. There were people counting on her, and she knew the rest of her army must be feeling the fatigue just as hard as she was. She just had to press on for the time being, she couldn't let everyone else do the fighting for her while she rested.

However, unbeknownst to Eirika, Seth wasn't the only one who had noticed her fatigue. Lurking in the shadows, an enemy Shaman was observing her from the shadows. He had obtained a very special tome recently that would be instrumental in eliminating the threat that this troublesome princess posed. Fatigued and vulnerable, the Shaman waited until Eirika lowered her guard, surveying the battlefield, and then leapt into action. Approaching just enough that she would be in range of his special tome, he cast his spell on Eirika, before retreating back to cover to watch the effects taking place.
