"If I may, I shall volunteer. No matter what form I take, I know that I can simply adapt to it." Silque said.
"Very well. As long as you are willing to take the risk." Alm said.
Silque stepped up to the Alter and knelt with her hands clasped together. Clearing her mind as she spoke the same prayer as Tatiana had said before. "Oh ancient Faerie, hear my prayer, thought Tatiana. If you deem me worthy, please, lend me your strength."
Silque felt a strange feeling on her skin as if someone was painting on her. It was smooth but something about it felt both cold but boiling on the outside and inside. Unlike with Tatiana, the transformation felt slower as her body needed more time to adjust. Her size did not alter but her anatomy was clearly changing. Not just her outside appearance but her blood felt like it was changing as well.
Lifting her hands, Silque saw her hands were scaly that shined like sapphires. Her nails were longer like claws and almost as hard as her new gem like scales. She felt her face as it was almost as smooth as her scaly arms. Besides the scales, she noticed how her ears were smaller than usual and her face felt slightly elongated. The only thing that was the same as her human self was her hair and clothes.
"Were you descended from dragons?" Zeke asked.
"Hmm, looks more lizard like. Ones I find back in the village as a child." Alm said. "Though a bit more shiny."
"This was a surprise." Slique said. "People would still regard me as a descendant of a dragon."
"At least we know that not everyone turns into a fairy from the alter." Celica said.
"How do you feel?" Alm asked.
"A bit more excited. Like something making me want to burst." Slique said. "Is that how it feels to be hot blooded even if I feel cold?"
"You are a lizard after all." Mae said. "No offense."
"None taken." Slique said. "A part of me feel much stronger as well. I could get used to this after I adjust my emotions."
"Shall we test your abilities?" Alm asked.
"Maybe have us have a turn at the alter." Genny said. "Oh sorry... did I interrupt anything?"
"No, it's fine. Your opinions matter." Celica said.
