This choice: Kris rushes out, trying to draw Susie's attention. • Go Back... -A story route requested by another user-
This... wasn't good. Kris couldn't very well just sit here and do nothing, but what exactly it would be best to do was... hard to say, at the very least.
Susie was still, for the moment, just standing there in the doorway, towering unbelievably high over him. For a second, Kris mused over the fact that the shape of her face meant he couldn't see her eyes from here, but then he remembered - Susie's hair drooped right over her eyes all the time, hiding them from view anyway.
Susie took one more look around, like she was wondering if he was hiding somewhere, and then she grunted dismissively. Stepping forward, her worn-out boots thumping solidly against the floor, she closed the door behind her.
He needed to move. Just standing here wouldn't do any good, especially if Susie was going to move around in the room for herself and end up unwittingly putting him in danger.
Throwing caution to the wind, Kris took off across the floor, trying to get into his gigantic classmate's field of view.
... Did she actually have a field of view? He'd never actually seen what Susie's eyes looked like before.
Once in the rough centre of the room, he began jumping and waving his arms, a bit embarrassed to be putting in such an effort, but recognizing that it was necessary all the same.
It wasn't immediately obvious when Susie spotted him. She has paused, but with a critical portion of her face obscured by her hair, it was impossible to tell why.
After a moment, however, she took another wide step forward, her boot coming down hard against the floor nearby, and she crouched.
"... Kris?" her deep voice questioned, sounding rather toneless.
He paused. When was the last time he'd actually spoken to Susie, anyway?
"Y-yeah...!" he called out, unsure of how loud to be. His own voice was a bit scratchy, unused to any level of volume higher than a regular speaking tone. "Uh... little help...?"
Susie just stared at him. ... Well, he assumed she was staring, anyway - the hair was as difficult to get past as ever.
"... Fine." she said, and a hand came into view, approaching. Kris waiting, and Susie's comparatively huge fingers closed over him.  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
