After a short explanation of where he got the device from and what it allegedly did, Maya crossed her arms and said "sounds pretty fake Nick."
Phoenix shrugged in response, "you've been possessed before. Whose to say this is any less real?"
"I come from a long, accredited line of spirit-channelers Nick!" Maya shot back indignantly. "That thing has the credibility of a chain letter. Besides, how do we know it doesn't just like, zap whoever you point it at?"
Phoenix paused, he hasn't considered that at all. "Then we have Larry test it," he decided with a shrug. "Are you okay with that Larry?"
"Do whatever you want, I don't care, my life is over!" Larry cried from the bench. "Charlene left me! All because of an accusation! I don't care what happens to me so go ahead and zap me with it! Give me the chair!"
Maya shrugged, "sounds like consent. And if it does work, that'll be good right? Larry's kind of a liability, so if the other side ends up with him, all the more benefit for us!"
Phoenix nodded in agreement; it made sense. "Which function do we go with though? If we use aware swap, we'll have more control over where he goes, but if we use possession, we don't have to worry about the other person causing problems in his body Atleast, more problems than Larry himself would cause I guess."
"It's probably a gag so we'll flip a coin," Maya said, noting the time. "Heads, swap, tails, possession!" She tossed the coin in the air and it landed on....
