'Yeah, why?" you respond. "Well, nitrogen in high quantities... well, causes females of my species to... er... increase in size. I've been exposed to this air for over 3 hours. In a few minutes, I'll have over the limit of nitrogen, and I'll.. uh... grow." she stands up, and you do as well. "I mean, I'm already much taller than you guys, any more height and I'll be unable to fit in any of your buildings, and I've heard that earth people are afraid of things that are bigger than them." she says, looking rather sad and worried. "Don't worry" you say, calmly, "Only really shallow people will act like that. Well, maybe everyone at first, but many people will get over it." "You don't understand!" she says, almost panicing, "I'll grow until I'm larger than this planet!"
Well, this was a revelation. Looks like your new friend will become planet sized eventually. "Well, I don't mind." you say, dully. There is a pause. then "Oh. Okay then." she says, calming down, "As long as my only earth friend doesn't mind, I won't either." She grins at you, then continues, "Besides, it might be fun to grow and grow into a gigantic person."
