Kate heard her mother's laughter even before she entered the house. Fortunately it sounded playful, but Kate knew which side of the family she and her sister had gotten their ticklishness from. She opened the door causing the laughter to increase in volume, and made her way towards the living room.
There, she saw what she expected to see; her dad tickling her mom insane on the couch. Her mother was a very pretty woman who looked young for 38; she had her thick brown hair pulled into a ponytail today, and was wearing a plain white t-shirt with black pants, not that it was helping her. Her dad, a fit handsome man himself, had tied her mom's legs together and her hands behind her back with a set of scarves. She was lying on the couch while he knelt down in front of her, kneading her bare belly like it was dough in front of her. As best she could, Mrs. Jones wriggled back and forth, but there was little she could do as her husband's methods kept her recoiling back to her original spot.
Kate smiled as her dad worked up and down her mom's ribs, across her sides, and around her tummy; those were all weak spots that Kate had herself. Her dad had tickled her mom many times before, and even her and her sister; he knew what he was doing. Although she wasn't sure how today's episode started, Kate decided to try and sneak past towards the stairs, so as to not interrupt.
"Nohohohoahaha! Honey pleahahahase!!!"
The laughter of the older woman rang throughout the house, but Kate did her best to block it out as she tiptoed past. Then, her mother's laughter spiked, causing Kate to glance over. Sure enough, her dad had stuck a finger in her mom's belly button and began wriggling it around. The hot spot caused Mrs. Jones to spasm from side to side, but she couldn't shake his hand loose, and only succeeded in nearly rolling off the couch. Mr. Jones simply had to pick her up and prop her back, before continuing.
"Relax, dear! It's just a bit of fun!"
Mrs. Jones opened her eyes briefly, and made eye contact with Kate partway up the stairs. "Oh no" thought the teen, as she knew her stealth was blown.
"Kateahaha! Help mehahahahaha!"
Still keeping a finger inside his wife's navel, Mr. Jones turned around and spotted Kate on the stairs. He smiled kindly and waved, having not seen his daughter for most of the day.
"Oh hey Kate, glad you're home! Your mother and I were just having a playful tickle session. Did you want to join in?"
Kate pondered for a brief moment. Her dad's invite wasn't malevolent at all, she knew he wasn't being cruel when tickling her mom. Plus, she needed something to do before dinner. So after saying yes, Kate through down her belongings in her room and hopped back downstairs to join her dad. And that's when she found out that her dad had meant by "joining in"...
