"Ahh ahh, Summer save me, they are going to tie me to a pole and tickle my poor cheeks and tootsies until I tell them everything I know" Mouse screamed.
"Silly girl, we don't do that here...well unless the patient asks us of course"
The four kids were all fearing for the worst, so it came as a welcome and unexpected surprise when they got sat down on hospital beds in the clean office of the head doctor fully dressed and treated politely.
"Well then. I know you kids like to play, and maybe you thought you were ninja or spies or whatever but it's dangerous to be out at your age at night or wander into other people's buildings, so we are calling your parents or guardians to pick you up soon if you tell us our names and how you came here..."
"Ha-HA! You can't fool us! We SAW all that stuff in the Laughing Room, all your horrible...torture devices" Summer shouted defiantly.
The doctor scratched his head.
"Look I don't know what you kids thought we were doing but I can reassure you that everything that goes on here is safe and legal"
"What do you mean legal?, it's TICKLING, tickling can't be legal, it's horrible torture!"
"I see, you little girl must be very ticklish then?"
"Yes and don't you dare try and touch me, oh damn you're going to do it anyway right uuu why did I let you make me admit it"
"From your reaction it seemed like you were. Look we are not intending to do anything bad to you. In fact since you're ticklish you'd actually be very interesting to us-"
"SEE I TOLD YOU"
"- I mean that we could actually pay you to work with us. Look here, as a ticklish girl you were probably tormented by your friend or parents a lot because of it so you must be thinking that all tickling is evil and cruel but some people actually think of it as fun or innocent like a game, and it's a topic of interest for us scientists too since it helps us find out more about the human brain and its reactions"
The message finally reached Summer's brain.
"Wait so, you are NOT the bad guys?"
"Some have called us that while we were feathering their pits but no, we are a perfectly legal and government authorized research station here."
The kids were quiet not sure what to say until Nathan Ericson suddenly perked up.
"Wait so you guys are actually legit? This was all for official tickling research? That's great!"
