Ethan pulled something out & turned to show Sam as he said, “this is what I’ve been working on.” Ethan held what looked like a high tech water blaster in his hands. Sam asked, “a water gun? What are you going to get me wet?” Ethan replied, “no. This is not a water gun. This is a shrink ray. I can make inanimate objects proportionally bigger or smaller with this. Let me show you big guy.” Ethan turned a dial & flipped a switch then pointed the gun at his desk & pulled the trigger. A bright beam of energy came from the gun & struck the desk then shut off when Ethan released the trigger. Suddenly the desk shrunk smaller & smaller until it was so small that it looked like it belonged in a doll house. Sam walked over to where the desk was & looked down to see the tiny desk was just barely taller than the toe of his athletic shoes. Sam picked up the tiny desk & examined it in his hand. Sam exclaimed, “holy crap! It actually worked. Can you grow it back?” Ethan replied, “yeah. I can. Set it down & I’ll grow it back.” Sam set the desk down then walked over to stand by Ethan as he flipped a switch on the gun the fired at the tiny desk before shutting it off. The desk grew back to it’s normal size as Sam asked, “so you actually built this? Does it work on people?” Ethan replied, “yeah. I built this. I’ve only tested it on inanimate objects so far. I haven’t gotten bold enough to try it on anyone yet. But it should work on people. But it’s really cool isn’t it?” Sam replied, “It’s really cool. You should test it out on a person. But who?”
