By the time they got to work the next morning, David was itching to use the remote again. He had tried to get Steven to use it on the way there, but he insisted on waiting until they arrived. "Just zap someone already," David said as the two walked into the building.
"Have some patience, kid," Steven replied. "We need the right opportunity."
"I guess you have a point," David said, looking around. They were a bit early so there wasn't anyone in the immediate vicinity. "We'll wait until the shift starts."
A short while later, Liz had everyone working that morning gathered to receive assignments. "Alright, Josh and Steven," she said as she moved down her list. "You're in goods in. Got some heavy boxes that need moving."
"I pulled my back last night," Josh said upon hearing there was heavy lifting involved. "Don't know how much help I'll be."
"I don't mind switching," David quickly spoke up. It would be easier to use the remote if he and Steven were paired together for work.
"Okay," Liz said. "That solves that issue." She then continued handing out assignments.
"Thanks man," Josh said to David as they all headed out to get to work.
"Sure no problem," David replied before following Steven to the goods in area. "So, shall we get swapping?" he asked once they were out of earshot.
