You don't give the black-haired head another thought but 'I'm not the only one that likes country'.
When you all decide to pack up and go home you split up the monry you've collected as best you can.
You are helping Jasmin pack her drums when TJ says, "Hey Lee, did you see that person who wanted to hear 'Cowboy take me away'?"
"No, why?"
"Did you not see that person with the black hair. I swear it was as black as yours." Buddy says.
"I saw that top of their head. My hair is not some special shade of black, just black. And lots of people have black hair." You put the stool you sit on by the wall with the rest of them.
"Girl, you have the darkest black hair I have ever seen. And whoever that was in the crowd had the same dark black hair," Natalie says, TJ and Bud nod.
You know where this is going and you don't like it, "Look you guys I know what you're thinking and it's not gonna happen. I've been living with Dave and Mary ever since I was seven, after two years in the orphanage. If she wanted to find me it wouldn't be that hard. I mean, how many black haired, amber eyed girls are out there? She's not coming." With that you grab your guitar and violin cases and walk off.
"Lighten up, Lee. She's your mother after all." Jasmin calls. You walk a bit faster, you don't like talking about your real mother.
