Justin put his mother back into her normal clothes. "Ok, right, I'm an adult, I'm your mother" Jessica said as she felt some normalcy return to her life. 'this morning was just an anomaly, everything is ok' she thought to herself. "I put you in your big girl panties, but you better keep them clean this time" Justin said as he walked out the door.
"This time?" Jessica wondered out loud. But there wasn't time for that, she had to get to work. Jessica grabbed her car keys and went outside. As she closed the door to her car and buckled her seatbelt, the single mother went to start her car.
"How do I start this" Jessica asked herself, her mind suddenly unable to tell her how to operate her vehicle. Confused, she looked around at the different buttons and levers, unable to remember what any of them did. She instinctively started sucking on her thumb as she tried to think. When that didn't work she started playing with her keys. "They jingle" she mused with a giggle as she swung her keys around. "I like keys, keys are... Keys are how I turn on the car!" She shouted as she had a realization.
Jessica put her keys in the ignition and started her car. "Ok perfect, the car is on and the pedals make it go" she said. Then she realized something, "shoot I don't remember how to get to work" she thought for a moment before she came up with a solution, "I'll just use my phone". Jessica reached for her pocket only to feel that it was empty. "I must have forgotten it inside, I'm so forgetful today".
She pushed the car door open as wide as it could go and tried to get out only to be held in by her seatbelt. "Right, seatbelt" she said as she tried to unfasten it. She kept trying but it remained in place. Jessica panicked as she couldn't undo her seatbelt. 'oh no! I'm stuck in my car!' she thought to herself.
