"You're gonna-"
Nega-Shantae never finished the sentence she started.
A deafening roar came from outside, interrupting her, before an as well as deafening crash exploded into the room. Specifically, from the roof.
Terrified (or surprised, in Nega-Shantae's case), you looked up to see that the roof had been blown up by a cannonball.
"Men! Drop anchor! Wait for your captain!" you heard a familiar voice say.
Oh no...
From the hole in the roof, the familiar figure of a woman appeared, right before she jumped inside of Shantae's bedroom.
You felt the hand of Nega-Shantae closing up in a fist around you as she quietly stared at the woman that anyone knew (and feared) as Risky Boots.
Upon penetrating the room, Risky stood back up and, immediately, noted the dark Shantae on the bed. Saying she was surprised didn't fully describe the look on her face.
"You!" she yelled,
"You." Nega-Shantae calmly replied with a growing smirk on her face.
Risky's mind began racing - this was not what she expected to see.
She already saw Shantae like that twice, and knew that it was the polar opposite of the half-genie: a ruthless creature surrounded by dark magic. Risky Boots', in this case; Risky also acknowledged the fact the now evil Shantae was holding onto HER Cabin Boy.
The pirate queen unsheathed her sword and held it in one hand, before taking out her pistol as well, only it wasn't her pistol: it was a nearly identical one, with two gems on it.
You didn't recall it being like that from 'Pirate Queen Quest'.
"I'll keep this short." Risky said,
"Stand still, and you I'll let you live."
In response to her words, Nega-Shantae started laughing.
"Oh, please." she said,
"My powers go beyond the ones in that half-genie weakling's greatest dreams. You're no match for me!"
After saying those words, the evil Shantae jumped from the bed and onto the floor, before looking at you with the same smirk she addressed Risky with.
Her fist hovered above the bed and she let go of you, letting you fall down onto the soft surface.
"Stay there, shrimp." she ordered, turning her back to you,
"And watch. I want you to see when I blast this fool into oblivion!"
"I don't think I want to-" you got interrupted when the giantess stared at you with the same devilish expression from before, which sent chills running down your spine,
"... Beat her..." you meekly stated.
"Please! Blast... ME?" Risky Boots sneered, raising her sword up and putting the odd-looking pistol back in her belt, replacing it with her usual weapon,
"I'll show you, you brat!"
And, saying no more words, the pirate queen sprinted towards Nega-Shantae, swinging her scimitar at her with such strength that she would have probably cut anyone's face from ear to ear; however, the evil half-genie jumped back, dodging the blade.
Then, quickly, she tilted her head back and brought it forward again as she performed Shantae's most famous move: hair whip.
It was Risky's time to dodge.
From the bed, you stared at the battle with your heart rattling your chest. You weren't quite sure of who you wanted to win.
Before your eyes, the pirate and the half-genie began fighting for real: sword slashes, hair whips, bullets and dark versions of Shantae's magic attacks soon filled the whole room.
After another missed attack with her sword, you took notice that Risky was starting to pant; Nega-Shantae didn't look too good herself.
However, the half-genie looked at you, winked, and began dancing; she was just as good as a her other self, and watching her butt swinging from side to side was truly a sight to- how could you think about such things in a moment like this, you wondered.
Nega-Shantae was about to transform, and according to what you knew from 'Risky's Revenge', her transformations were more powerful than the regular Shantae's.
Risky Boots was in trouble.
Apparently, the pirate herself realized that, because she took a step back and gritted her teeth, watching as her opponent turned... into a shadowy monkey.
Risky rose her sword, ready to defend herself, but Nega-Shantae performed Monkey Bullet at such speed that you didn't even see when she charged at the pirate, hitting her in the knee.
Risky cried in pain while the half-genie hit her with the same attack, this time in the back.
She began hitting the pirate queen repeatedly, striking her body mercilessly; one last hit to the stomach sent Risky Boots flying into a wall, causing her sword to slide out from her grip.
The pirate slid onto her knees and didn't get up, feeling her whole body in a lot of pain.
Nega-Shantae returned to normal and cackled at the sight.
"Pathetic!" she roared, before staring back at the bed where she left you.
Much to your dismay, she started walking your way. While her shadow started to fall over a terrified you, you wondered what she wanted.
Nega-Shantae grinned at you.
"Here!" she yelled triumphantly, swiftly grabbing you,
"I want you to have a front row seat while I finish her off!"
While saying that, she dumped you in her cleavage and pushed you down with a finger, before snickering and turning back to Risky.
However, as Nega-Shantae soon realized, giving her opponent her back was a mistake: Risky Boots was now standing, aiming her other pistol at her.
"Time to take back what is mine, runt," she said, smirking,
"I hope you don't survive this."
Without giving Nega-Shantae time to react, Risky pulled the trigger, and a flash of light came out of the pistol, hitting its target flawlessly.
Nega-Shantae yelled in pain while you, stuck in her cleavage, felt your surroundings shaking.
Risky watched her opponent falling onto her knees and finally pulled her finger away from the trigger.
Nega-Shantae didn't move afterwards, and Risky strolled to where she was, plucking you out of her cleavage and holding you up.
"Looks like you lose again, huh? Even if you're drowned in darkness, you're still nothing more than just a brat." she said, eager to see the pistol's effects.
If it worked, Shantae was going to revert to herself, thus giving Risky's dark magic back to its rightful owner.
