You were unsure of what was actually happening, everything felt unreal. Like you were there, but you were not. The world was dark, and you could feel something on your chest. On your heart specifically. Not that it was pain, but it felt... void? Like it wasn’t there.
Your body, amazingly also didn’t feel like it was yours. You have no idea what is happening, but you were feeling split. Not through choice, but through body. Like it was cut in two.
You were just a boy leaving in Traverse Town. you have lived there all your life, and you enjoyed yourself. You stayed out of trouble, got a comfortable job. Not really... any friends, but that didn’t both you. At least that was what you kept telling yourself.
So you have no idea what is happening, but you were feeling it and after a while... you were kind of accepting it. You found that you couldn’t resist it so... you just let yourself drift apart..
“No don’t!” A voice said. Sounding like it was coming from all around you. It was a girl’s voice, and she sounded pretty young. So of course you were interested. “Keep fighting! DOn’t let the darkness take you!”
“What?” You reply, but as you would find she can’t hear you.
“I’ll pull you back, all you have to do is not give up! Just stay with me!”
The girl seemed really concerned for you, so you do just that. Hold yourself together and listen to her voice.
While you were doing this, a light reached you. Blinding you in seconds as you feel yourself almost come back into the world of the living. You were laying on something hard, only for a second though.
As it shifted around and you felt you were laying on something else. Warm, almost comfy.
“I did it... thank goodness. I connected you back together.” A voice said, as you of course got a bit curious.
You open your eyes to see what was going on, now that you were not in the darkness anymore, you could see what was going on.
The first thing you saw, was her beautiful face. The girl didn’t look that old, but she was beautiful. A bit flawless actually. She had short black hair, but it matched her amazingly. Her outfit was a bit weird, a black cloak, all over her body. Hiding it all as it looked mysterious and you got to admit a bit coo. You were still in Traverse Town, in fact it was the street/
Looked a bit different though, and that was when you pieced it together. A bit shocked that you didn’t already.
You were small. Everything was giant! Even the girl that was holding you. The thing you were on, that was so warm and so soft was her palm. You were laying on her palm. You get up and looked around a bit panicked, so she calmed you down.
“Relax.” She said, still concerned. “It’s okay, you are small now.”
“I am?” You say obviously confused. “What happened?”
“Well, geez how do I explain this to you. Well basically, darkness was taking you. Turning you into a heartless, and making your body a nobody. Thankfully I was around, and I was able to counter them. Reconnecting you back together, with the help of yourself. Did you get any of that?”
“No...” You say more confused. “And even if I did you didn’t explain why I am small?”
“Well, it was the first time I have done it. Thankfully it was possible, considering it just happened and you were still somewhat there. But because it was my first time, something went wrong and... I shrunk you down. not really sure how it happened in the first place.”
“Well, can you grow me big?”
“I don’t think so.” She said back, a bit sorry. “I mean, I didn’t plan to shrink you down. I am so sorry.”
“It’s fine, you were saving me... I think. That’s what I pieced together honestly.” You say, figuring this was not the type of girl you want to get angry with. Or even could get angry with.
“If I can ask?” She said after a bit of silence. “Darkness can only consume someone’s heart once they let room for it within them. Why would it get to you?”
“Uh... don’t know.” You say to her as she looks even more. “I mean, I’m assuming you mean the... darkness... comes when people are feeling sad or evil or something like that. Not for me, i’m a happy guy.”
“Then why would it come?” She questioned.
“I dunno, I mean i got a job, I love life. I never want to hurt anyone.” You say to the giant girl. “I mean, I get a bit lonely every now and then but that’s not enough right?”
You looked at her, who was not changing her look.
“Oh is that enough?”
“It is, that must be it. Being lonely huh.” She said suddenly getting a bit sad. “I, know the feeling. Do you not have any friends?
“I-” You say, a bit taken aback at the directness, however you then pause. “No I do not. Didn’t really think it was a big deal. I’m okay with being by myself.”
Xion frowned, that was always what she told herself too. She then paused for a while, as she smiled.
“Well, I guess you don’t have to feel lonely anymore. I can’t change you back, but I can take care of you? Or at least get you home.”
“Yeah, that would be nice. i recognise this street, I don’t live too far away.” You say to her as she smiled. You pointed in a direction and she started to walk. Smiling as she was planning on something she doesn’t really do often.
She was going to make a new friend.
“Uh... what’s your name by the way.” You spoke up to her. “Mine is (Your Name)”
A smile grew on the girl’s face.
“Xion. It’s Xion”
