As scared as you were, this giant girl was probably your only chance of getting some help on Jakku. Aside from being the location of the last battle of the Galactic Civil War, it's mostly known nowadays as being a wasteland, a literal desert full of destroyed ships and other junk that scavengers would loot from in exchange for money or food portions. In short, what was once an iconic site is now just the galactic equivalent of "the middle of nowhere".
And yet this girl seemed very familiar. You couldn't put your finger on it at the moment, but you swear you've seen her face somewhere before. There was a strange aura about her, like it was something mystical. It couldn't be....
"I've never seen a tiny human before, certainly not on Jakku" the girl spoke, keeling down to see you with a curious look on her face. "What is your name?"
"M-My name is ______" you reply nervously. "Who are you? You seem so familiar."
"I'm Rey. Rey Skywalker." the girl answered. There it was. You KNEW you had seen her somewhere before. This was, for the moment, the Jedi who helped bring down the First Order. She wasn't the one who lit the spark; no, that was Luke Skywalker, the legendary figure who disappeared for several years only to reappear at the galaxy's darkest moment to save the Resistance from certain doom and give them time to regroup but at the cost of his life. Rey must've taken his last name as an honorary measure; as far as anyone knew, Luke never had any children of his own.
"YOU?! But you're the Jedi who defeated the First Order and saved the Galaxy! What are you doing at a dump like this?" you ask.
"I lived on Jakku for a good portion of my life, actually." Rey replied. "I learned about machinery and ships while savaging old Imperial wreckage and waiting for my family to come back for me. They never did, sadly; they were murdered elsewhere by an assassin set by a man who turned out to be my grandfather. Long story, I'll explain later. I just returned here briefly to collect some of my old belongings. But enough about me for the moment, tell me how you ended up like this. Were you born small or did something happen to you?"
You proceed to tell Rey what happened. That you were trying to make an experimental teleportation device, and while it did transport you to somewhere else, it must've shrunk you as well. You must be an inch tall at this size, as you were still big enough for her to hear you.
Rey takes in your story for a moment, thinking over her options. Finally, she makes a decision........
