This choice: This game is still awesome!!! • Go Back...Chapter #40Shrink High (Yes, The Actual Game!!!) by: Echo   It was a pretty normal day for you. You were going through the mail for anything that an old childhood friend might have sent in. Her name was Narue. She was a kind and shy girl. Plus, she was cute when she smiled. You two have been childhood friends for as long as you could remember. She attended the same school as you, so whether in the morning or the afternoon, you two would walk together. One day, she told you she got a job proposal somewhere in the city. You were actually happy and a bit sad of the news. You two always supported one another, but this job proposal meant she had to move to a new school and a new home closer to the school.
That was 2 weeks ago. From the many envelopes, all of them were either deals on products or news magazines....except for one. Out of all the miscellaneous junk mail, this envelope stood out as a bit more interesting for some reason. It was a white envelope with a red seal. Removing the seal, you opened it up an removed the letter within that read:
"If you are reading this; then this means that you have been selected by the Advance Science Society to be part of a brand new experiment! The Advance Science Society has been responsible for countless technological discoveries and achievements from state-of-the art robotics to efficient renewable energy! If you are still interested; Please follow the address and coordinates below."
"We hope to see you soon!"
You heard about this society before. They always reveal their new technologies to the world, but how they did it is all hush hush. Even the people who worked there was a secret. These coordinates that were shown on the bottom were actually pinpointed in the middle of a forest. The address however was in a national park. You were curious to see what this society was like. Plus, you were looking for a job. You folded up the letter and placed it in your pocket. You then walked out of the house and caught a ride at a subway.
You eventually arrived at the park. Looking back at the coordinates and inputting them into your phone, like previously stated, it was in the middle of the forest. Hoping to prove the map wrong, you started trekking your way through the forest.
*A few minutes later...*
After a long, exhausting walk; you had come across a large tower. How could anyone miss that?! It was basically the size of the New World Trade Center! The fact that it was missing from the map was something to behold. You approached the steel gates and saw some sort of buzzer. You held down the button for a few seconds and waited for a response.
"Did you receive our message?" A feminine voice spoke out through the intercom.
"Yeah actually. Here's the proof." You replied. You reached into your pocket and pulled out the letter. You found where the security camera was and lifted the letter so whoever was viewing the camera could see it. Suddenly, the steel doors opened automatically.
"The Vice-Director is on the 3rd floor. Don't keep her waiting." The voice on the intercom said. You thought the outside was huge, but the inside was massive! It seemed to be almost like a mansion. To your left and right were hallways that seem to go on further then the towers actual width.
You walked towards the double stair way, trying to find some kind of elevator or stairway to go up a few floors. What was messing with you was the fact that these hallways looked the same.
"You look like you're lost. You need help?" A voice asked. You looked behind you to see a young girl with short light blue hair an dark blue eyes. She was wearing a navy blue school uniform with a white shirt and red ribbon underneath, black socks and shoes.
"Yeah, just trying to meet with this "Vice-Director"." You replied.
"*Sigh* Follow me." She said as she grabbed your arm and dragged you along with her.
"I can walk on my own. I'm not a kid." You said.
"Probably after this you will be smaller than one." She mumbled to herself.
"What?" You asked.
Nothing! Name's Aoi by the way." She said. She dragged you over to a wooden wall. She then placed her hand on it and you saw a thin green light scan her palm. Once it was done scanning, part of the wall opened up and revealed an elevator. You both got in the elevator and pressed a button for a specific floor.
The doors reopened a few seconds later. This floor looked like a lab. Everything was white. From the floor to the ceiling. There were a few observation windows that showed the inside of different labs. Down the hallway, you saw three girls talking to each other. The first one had long red hair and red eyes. She was wearing a navy blue school uniform with a white shirt and red ribbon underneath, black socks and shoes.
The second girl on the first one's left had light green hair that was tied in a sidetail and light blue eyes. She was wearing a similar uniform, but she had a red tie and was wearing white socks.
The third girl on the first one's right had long dark green hair and light green eyes. She was wearing a white and blue school uniform with a red ribbon, black socks and shoes. They did have one thing in common, they were all cute!
"Um, excuse me?" You asked as you walked up to the group of girls. They all turned toward you in curiosity. "I'm looking for the Vice-Director."
"That would be me." The red haired girl said. "The one on the left here is Erika and the one on the right is Mizuho.
"Hey!" Erika said.
"It's nice to meet you." Mizuho added.
"I guess I'm supposed to give you this?" You said as you handed the Vice-Director the letter. She then grabbed it out your hands and read it.
"Well then, Welcome to the team!" The Vice-Director said happily. She then picked up a weird looking ray gun off the table next to her.
"Should I be worried?" You asked.
"Nonsense! Now hold still." She replied. She fired it at you and almost instantaneously, the world around you grew 10 times over. THEY SHRANK YOU! You were basically airborne, falling towards the ground below. Suddenly, someone catches you. It was the Vice-Director! She and the other two were gigantic!
"Aw, look how cute he is Mia-oops!" Erika said as she covered her mouth. The Vice Director just blushed. That was her name?
"Well, no point in hiding that name anymore." Mia said. "Next time Erika, just call me Vice-Director." Erika just giggled to herself.
"So, can I get an explanation to what is happening here?!" You asked.
"If you haven't realized it, you were shrunken down to 2 inches." Mia started. "We were curious to how a human is affected by it and if it gave you some sort of power. We're still deciding on how we'll distribute it."
"So, what happens now?" You asked.
"For now, you'll be staying with_________."   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
