It was a rather slow day at the Hulbury's Gym. Usually, fans would fill the stadium up to see Nessa while trainers would line up and try to challenge her. Today however, wasn't like that today. It felt more like a ghost town then its usually self. You walked through a set of double doors, leading to a large, blue empty stadium. Well, it was actually mostly empty as it was only just you and the Gym Leader herself; Nessa, who was sitting on one of the nearby benches.
She was a tall slender woman long blue and black striped hair and blue eyes. She was wearing a gym uniform consisting of a white crop top and shorts with blue and orange details as well as a number 049 on it. For accessories, she wore hoop earrings, two armlets, a Dynamax Band and a blue single glove on her hand. She also wore a belly chain and white and blue sandals with buoys on them. She appeared to be reading something on her Rotom Phone, so she probably didn't hear you come in. You didn't know what it was, but she somehow looked so beautiful! Maybe it was the fact she was a model like Elesa and Valerie.
"Slow day huh?" You said. Nessa looked up to you and greeted you with a smile.
"Tell me about it." Nessa replied as she slipped the phone into her pocket and stood up. "I'm usually bored during this time of year since not a lot of trainers come here." She then walks towards the arena and you follow suit, facing the Gym Leader.
"So, ready to begin?" Nessa asked as she took out a Dive Ball.
"Ready when you are." You replied as you threw your Pokéball out onto the arena floor, followed by Nessa who did the same, starting the match. This was also your second time seeing another Dynamax. A Dynamax is a new move that when used, will enlarge the Pokémon to 3 times it's normal size! This was both the second time you had used it and the second time.
Eventually, you were able to defeat Nessa and acquire the Water Badge.
"*Sigh* I don't think I'll ever get tired of seeing a Dynamax." Nessa said as she returned her Pokémon back into their ball. You did the same, but something felt off. Starting with the fact that Nessa's expression changed to a more worrying look.
"What's wrong? Is there something on my face?" You asked.
"No, but you're sort of....shrinking?" Nessa replied as she slowly walked towards you. She was right about her claim. She seemed to be getting taller! You watched in shock as you eye level went from her chest, to her hips, then finally, her sandals. You couldn't believe this! You were basically a bread crumb compared to her! All you could do was upward at the titan in all of her glory. At least she could see her since she then couched down to you and lowered her land. You immediately climbed up to her giant palm and quickly raised up to her face.
"Are you alright?" Nessa asked.
"Yeah, despite my new size. What even happened?" You replied. Though half of it was a lie. Yes, you did feel fine, but you were now in the hands of a Gym Leader who was now more stunning than before!
"It's a wild guess, but it may be from our battle from earlier." Nessa theorized. "The Dynamax system is still very new. On the bright side, you do look cuter!" You weren't sure if she meant it to me funny or in a good way as you already were blushing. At least you had your clothes. Speaking of which, you did feel strangely lighter until you noticed that your bag that you carry your Pokémon in didn't shrink with you!
"Looks like you won't me making much progress with your current problem." Nessa said. "Why don't you stay with me until we figure something out."
"R--Really, you wouldn't mind?" You asked shockingly.
"Of course! I can't just leave you here to fend for yourself." Nessa replied. She then placed you onto her shoulder, picked up your bag, and began walking over the locker rooms. Once there, she unlocked one of them that you assumed to be hers and pulled out a blue coat. She putted it on with you and walked out of the gym.
It was a good thing she put her coat as it acted like a blanket for you! You both walked through the town until you came across a split in the road. She walked to her left through a pass and shortly after coming upon a single beach house. She walked towards the door, opening to reveal a large living room. On the left was a set of stairs that lead upstairs and on the right led to the kitchen.
The main focus was the living room. From left to right, there was a large flat-screen TV hanging on the wall, in the middle of the room, there was a glass coffee table, and on the right side of the living room was a dark blue sectional couch.
What really caught your eye was the screen door that led to the beach as well as a glorious sunset!
"I didn't know you live here!" You said astonished.
"Everyone needs to have a bit of alone time." Nessa replied. "Plus, it's also a great place to train my Pokémon too!" She then took off her coat and hanged it onto a nearby rack. Then she placed your bag to the side. She then walked to the couch and laid down while placing you onto her midriff.
"Sorry about your situation." Nessa said "What's your name?"
"(Y/N). And it's fine, I just feel bad that I can't do anything to return the favor." You replied.
"As long as you keep being you, you're already returning it!" Nessa said as she gently petted you on your head. It was odd and obviously weird seeing her larger than you, but at least you were in safe hands.
"Hey (Y/N), ________________________________________________________________"  indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
