"Well, would you be willing to play a game with me?" Natasha inquires, faux innocence lacing her tone.
"Sure! What console would it be on?" you reply eagerly.
"Actually, I was thinking something more old fashioned. Since you're so small, we could play something like a cat and mouse kind of game. I'll give you some time to hide and then I'll try to catch you," she explains.
"Sounds fun. I'm in!"
The spy grins in response. She didn't want to play this game merely to have fun. No, she wanted to use it as a chance to give you more hints.
"Alright. The rules are simple. I'm going to give you a minute to hide somewhere in the room. After that time is up, I'll start looking. If I find you, I still have to grab you to win. No leaving the room, but everything in the room is fair game as a hiding spot," she explains.
Agreeing to the rules, you find yourself placed onto the ground by Natasha. Not wasting a moment, you rush to the other side of the room before hopping into an ammunition case that was left slightly opened.
"This should work," you comment quietly before laying down.
"58...59...60. Alright, I'm coming for you," Natasha declares as she begins walking around the room.
While she starts looking around the room, the spy begins checking off potential hiding areas. Immediately, anything on a shelf or piece of furniture is ruled out. You wouldn't have been able to climb up any of them with how much time you had.
"I know you're still at ground level. Get ready to start running," the redhead taunts as her eyes scan the floor.
Despite her confidence, you don't feel nervous at all in your spot. After all, you're able to see where she's at in the room and right now, she's nowhere near you.
After a few minutes of scouring the floor for any traces of you, the Avenger becomes frustrated.
"Блядь," she murmurs under her breath after checking another potential spot. The fluent Russian makes you think that maybe it was her first language.
With your victory all but assured, you decide to relax. Leaning against a bullet that's stood up beside you, the weight of your body ends up causing it to fall backwards. Much to your horror, it ends up colliding with a few other bullets on the way down.
The clanging sound of the impact catches Natasha's attention. Whipping her head towards the direction she heard it from, her eyes settle on her bullet case. The slightly ajar lid makes her instantly recognize where you are.
At first, the more frustrated part of the spy wanted to simply rush over and end the game there. In the end, however, her more methodical nature took over. After all, she did want to drop some more hints while she played.
"I'll find you, маленький," she states, her voice silky smooth.
Slowly, she begins walking towards your hiding place. Every footstep causes the ground to tremble beneath you with growing intensity.
Soon enough, you're able to see her black boots right in front of the container. Your body immediately tenses up as you prepare to start running. However, you find yourself confused as she suddenly turns around and gets on all fours.
"Are you under the bed?" Natasha asks curiously.
Letting out a light sigh of relief, you lift your head to make sure she's not tricking you. Immediately, you cover your mouth and let out a muffled yelp at what you see.
Right in front of your hiding spot is Natasha's entire lower half on full display. Her suit looks to be extremely form-fitting, a necessity given how much acrobatics are involved in her fighting style. Nonetheless, the sight of it causes your brain to short-circuit for a moment before you quickly dip your head back into the crate.
Natasha, meanwhile, grins slightly. It seems as though one of her hints has hit its mark. Slowly turning around, she prepares herself to start chasing you once she opens the container.
Catching onto the fact that she now knows your location, you do the same as her.
