Chapter #23Preparing For Hana's Prank by: Gfan735   "I was thinking about Symmetra, but I just remembered that she's back at Vishkar for a couple days," Hana states.
"Alright. Then that leaves......Zarya," you trail off as you recognize the name.
"Yep. I know she's planning on working out soon, so you have the perfect opportunity to mess it up," she explains excitedly before noticing your extremely nervous expression. "What's wrong?"
"I'm a bit nervous about the idea of messing with a internationally-known weightlifter turned soldier. She could snap me like a toothpick if I was full-sized, let alone my current height," you state flatly.
Immediately, Hana waves off your concerns before bidding Angela and Lena farewell. As the two of you leave the lab, the medic can't help but feel sorry that you got roped into Hana's scheme.
Meanwhile, you're still trying to come to grips with the plan. You'd always admired Zarya for given her dedication to doing the right thing, but you also know that she's not the kind of person that would care for nonsense. More specifically, the type of nonsense that Hana wants.
"You good, noob?" the streamer inquires as she makes her way over to the gym that's shared between the other people in the base.
"Why do you call me noob? I don't play that much games," you huff in annoyance.
"Two reasons. One, you're the new blood on the base. Two, I know it annoys you. Don't think I didn't hear you murmuring about not liking my streams," she states with a teasing smirk.
You internally descend into hysterics at the fact that you accidentally said that in front of her. It must've been so insulting to hear that.
"I know you're probably freaking out right now," the streamer guesses accurately. "Don't sweat it though. I know that my stuff isn't for everyone."
"I still shouldn't have worded it like that, though," you reply with a grimace.
"It's fine. I deal with way worse criticism than that online. Lena tries to act as a mod during my streams, but she doesn't pick up on some of the terms used in chat," Hana explains nonchalantly. While she did appreciate the British woman's efforts, Lena certainly isn't as in touch as she thinks she is.
"Thanks for giving me a heads up about what she wants to do, by the way," you state honestly.
"No problem. Are you sure you're okay with it though?" the gamer questions. Being offered up like that probably wouldn't make a person feel good about themselves.
"I'll be fine. Yes, it's a bit awkward-," you respond before pausing for a moment when Hana snorts at your downplaying. "Okay. Really awkward, but it's not like I have anyone waiting on me back home."
"That may change if Angela has anything to say about that," she comments, drawing a confused look from you.
"What do you mean?" you ask simply.
The completely flat look you receive from Hana makes you feel like somewhat of an idiot for asking that question.
"Of course you're clueless," she mutters under her breath before clearing her throat. "Anyways, doc has been eyeing you up the entire time we've been nearby. Plus, she's really possessive."
"Whatever. She just want to make sure I'm safe," you tell her while laughing.
"What she really wants is to make sure that you're doing more than just sleeping in that bed with her by the end of the week, but that's just my two cents on it," Hana responds, silencing your laughter as your face turns bright red at the thought.
"A-anyways," you hastily deflect. "T-thanks for letting me know about Lena. It let's me prep myself for it."
"Again, it's no problem," the streamer assures you. "It's what friends do."
"Friends? You consider us friends?" you ask cautiously. It never really occurred to you that such a famous person would view you that way.
"Of course. You're about to help me prank my enemies. If that isn't friendship, I don't know what is," she says as she finally arrives at the entrance to the gym.
Peaking her head in, Hana is able to see Zarya on the other end of the gym.
