Chapter #28Welcome to the Realm of the Entity by: Unknown You hear a loud noise outside, like metal pipes falling to the ground. Deciding to check on what happened, you walk out, onto an empty street, devoid of life. You're forced to hug your own arms, as the air slowly grows colder. You decide it might be best to head back inside, when a fog forms around you, so thick you can't even look at your own hands. You stumble around, trying to find the door, or a wall, maybe a lamp post, anything will do. Your hands find nothing in the cold sea of mist, and the only thing you can do, is try and keep yourself warm until it dissipates.
It takes a few minutes, before the world fades back into view. You are nowhere near where you expected to be. Even worse, you have no idea where you are. There is no way you wandered that far in the mist. You were standing still the entire time. Now the sky is dark, and the moonlight reflects on a small pond, with no plant life or frogs to be found. Looking down, you see your legs have sunken up to your knees, in the mud around the water. A light shock runs through the ground, putting ripples in the water of the pond, then another shake follows, making the water restless. You try to wriggle your legs out of the mud, while looking at the chaotic water surface.
A giant red sneaker comes down from the sky, crashing into the pond like it's only a small puddle. You can hardly look up the bare ankle that's wearing the sneaker, before you are send flying with the dirt and water, which the massive stomp had kicked up. You shriek in terror, as your back hits a dryer patch of dirt, and your eyes look up at the sky. The shape of a massive humanoid dashes away in the corner of your eye.
You turn your head to look, and see the backside of a giant young woman, running a few more steps, before coming to a halt. Her ankles and calves are bare, while the rest of her legs are covered by dark-blue sport leggings, all the way up to her red, sleeveless sport-top. From this angle you can only see the back of her hair. She's a redhead with three French braids, two on either side, laying over her shoulders, while a third runs across the top of her head, all the way to the back of her neck.
You hear the giantess breathing heavily. She's clearly in a hurry, running like that. But why did she stop? She looks back over her shoulder, and you get a glance of her rough face. She has a wide mouth with big lips, and a mean looking brow, which seems to be stuck in a permanent frown, accented by the wrinkles around it. No matter the rough exterior of her face, something draws your gaze to her dark-blue weary eyes, there is something primitive about them, like an animal fighting to survive.
"Did someone just scream?" She says quietly.
You scramble to get up, as the girl's shoulders turn, and the rest of her body follows. The redhead's giant, thick-thighed legs start to walk toward you. While her legs are huge, their length seems to be disproportionally short, compared to the giant's upper body. Her now more careful steps ripple the small bit of water left in the puddle, which you mistook for a pond, as she slowly walks back to where she imagined hearing a faint shriek. indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
