Hinamizawa; the village know for its murder-disappearance cases and a rumored curse. Probably when people hear about it, they mostly just try and avoid living there..........not you though! You were never into anything superstitious and you knew how to defend yourself from anyone who could be a crazed psychopath. Plus, you wanted to visit the shrine up in the mountains, what could go wrong right?
Fast forward about an hour later, you arrived at the shrine. Inside, there was a large golden statue that stood at the end of the room. You walked inside, noticing that this room has seen better days. It looked it was abandon, but you felt like someone was still here and it keeps coming from the statue. You looked around the statue and turns out....nothing. It was against the wall. As soon as you were backing up, you heard the sound of metal falling on the floor. You quickly turned around to see what dropped. It was some sort of offering. Luckily, it didn't seem broken so you got it back and set it back up to how it was before. Even if you fixed it, something wasn't right. Even after you left, it felt like something was crawling down your spine. It felt like....................someone was behind you.
You spotted a large splinter coming from a tree from the corner of your eye. Quickly you ripped off the branch and swung and the potential attacker.........................................................It wasn't what you though it was. It was some random guy who was probably wondering what was wrong. You just spilt innocent blood! You didn't know what to do. You dropped the weapon and quickly ran in a random direction, leaving the man to die in his own blood. You didn't care where you were going, just as long as you were far away from him. Then you tripped on a rock and you threw yourself off the cliff. Everything slowed down as you saw what waited below. Nothing but a rapid current and jagged rocks. This was your death. There was no way of escaping it. You closed your eyes an accepted your fate.
However, you didn't feel the water nor the rocks. And it felt like you stopped? You open your eyes to see that you were in nothing but a white void. The only person there besides you was a young shrine maiden. She had lavender hair, dark violet eyes, and a pair of black or dark purple horns. The horns alone were already a sign that she wasn't human in a way.
"Wh-Who are you?" You asked. "If this about the offering I knocked over, I'm sorry!"
"No, I should be the one who should be sorry." She apologized. "I never wanted any of this to happen."
"Are you Oyashiro-sama?" You asked.
"I am, but my actually name is Furude Hanyū." She replied. "I never wanted to curse anyone, but when people die here, they claim to be Oyashiro-sama's curse."
"Is there a way for me still live?" You asked.
"Not in your world, but in another world I can." She said. "There is one world where it never happens, but......."
"What's wrong?" You concerningly asked.
"You'll be the size of an ant when you arrive." Hanyū finally replied. "I-I promise you won't get hurt." Living at the size of a bug? Probably a terrible life, but she did said you wouldn't get hurt.
"Ok, I trust you." You said. "And before you cast it, will I see again?" Hanyū looked back and light blushed before smiling.
"At different sizes we will." Hanyū replied. She then walked towards you and leaned in for a hug. You hugged back and accepted her embrace, closing your eyes.
You reopened your eyes to find that Hanyū was gone and you were on a very large table. You really are like an ant! Everything looked so big from the bed in the distance, to giant pencil holder next to you. Obviously this was someone's room, but who was it?
Of course, the answer soon entered the room. The room apparently belonged to a young girl with short brunt orange hair in an angled cut with long sides and lavender blue eyes. She was wearing a sailor fuku, complete with a yellow ribbon, and white socks with dark brown shoes. She looked she just came home from school and was relieved. Despite the ginormous size difference, she was actually cute! Due to your focus being on her and your new environment, you didn't notice that the giant girl actually saw you.
Your focus was disrupted as you saw her getting close you. You both stared at each other for a couple of minutes before the girl started smiling.
"Aww! How did you get in here little guy?" She asked as she crotched down at her desk.
"It's uh.....long story." You replied. "But to summarize, I wasn't ready to die and was given a second chance."
"Do you have a name?" She asked.
"(Y/N)." You replied.
"I'm Ryūgū Rena." She replied. She slowly brought her hand over to you before stopping near you. "Can I pick you up?" Her hand was massive and had the potential to completely smash you into paste. However, you were starting to trust Rena. You got a bit closer and Rena gently picked you up with two fingers.
"Don't worry (Y/N), I'm not gonna hurt you." Rena said as she brought you close to her cheek, almost like a makeshift hug. Your worries soon faded away. Your new life would be living with giants. Who knows, maybe you'll start dating! She stopped hugging you and brought to her face and asked.................
