You can’t believe your eyes. Hovering above you is the Legendary Pokemon Uxie!
You’ve heard lots of stories about it (although judging by the voice, “it” is actually a “she”), but you never imagined you might see this Pokemon in person. You’ve heard she’s an ancient and powerful Psychic Pokemon that supposedly created knowledge, but she can also erase memories if she opens her eyes. Fortunately, her eyes are closed now. Her face is turned in your direction, though. She’s probably using her psychic powers to focus on you and figure out your location.
But the most perplexing thing about her is her size. All the stories say she’s supposed to be small, so why is she gigantic? You feel like a tiny doll compared to her.
You stammer fearfully, unable to say anything. You’re confused and scared, trapped in a cave without any clothes, with an enormous and powerful Pokemon hovering over you.
Uxie apparently notices your fear. She crosses her arms and frowns down at you. “Remain calm,” she says. Her mouth doesn’t move, so she seems to be communicating telepathically. “I have no intention of harming you. But I do have questions for you, human.”
“O-okay,” you squeak. You take a few deep breaths and manage to calm yourself down, now that Uxie promised not to hurt you. “What... w-what do y-you want to know?”
“I need you to tell me how you obtained that gem in your forehead.”
You reply, “I was walking home from school... then I saw something red in the water near a bridge by the lake. When I picked it up, I felt pain in my head, and I blacked out. And then I woke up here—with a giant Pokemon, and no clothes.”
You gulp and put a hand over your privates. You half-expect Uxie to smirk at your embarrassment, but she doesn’t react at all.
“Giant Pokemon?” she repeats. “You’re mistaken. I haven’t changed my size. You shrunk, human.”
Your heart skips a beat. “WHAT?” you yell. “Really? How? Did that gem do it?”
“That is my assumption,” Uxie says. “This likely explains your nudity as well—you must have shrunk out of your clothes. But unlike many wild Pokemon, I fully understand why humans wear clothes. I’ll try to find a replacement for you to cover yourself up, because I know that sort of thing is important for you. But that will have to wait. Currently, we have more critical matters to attend to.”
