You are shrunk to a planet far from earth, where a space colony has decided to relocate to solve the problem of overcrowding on Earth. Giantess Karone, once known as Astronema, had shrunk you and now she wants you to understand what happened and why by telling her story about her, hoping you can understand and forgive her.
"I listen to you."
“I was born on space colony KO-35, my brother Andros and I had telekinetic powers. One day during our training, a monster named Darkonda kidnapped me. Influenced by Dark Specter I became Astronema, I grew up with the belief that the red space ranger killed my family.”
Just the beginning of the story involves you, you are setting aside all your feelings and prejudices, driven by curiosity about how the story will end.
“I have fought the Space rangers many times, also helped by Ecliptor, but I only collected defeats. Darkonda joined the group, without my recollection of him. For a while I even fell in love with the Silver Ranger. And then the unexpected happened.”
"What?"
“I lost my necklace during a battle, it was the only memory of my brother, I couldn't find it, then I saw Andros with my necklace in his hand. He opened the necklace and showed me that he had an identical one. When he told me that I was his sister, my mind tried to recall the memories of the past. Gradually the memories resurfaced and Dark Specter forced me to prove my loyalty.
“Oh no.”
“I pretended to capture the rangers to take them to the planet where they held Zordon prisoner and free him, but Dark Specter had foreseen everything, we managed to escape by a miracle. Dark Specter sent a meteorite against Earth to destroy all humans, I sneaked into my old base to divert the trajectory, but was captured. The rangers managed to save the planet, but I was once again under the control of Dark Specter."
The further the story progresses, the more difficult it becomes for her to hold back tears, both of joy and sadness.
“However the new me wanted to have power over everything, I drove out Darkonda and created the Psycho Rangers to absorb the energy in Dark Specter. But due to their insubordination they were defeated before I could carry out my plan.”
“Wow.”
“The forces of evil launched a mass attack on all of Zordon's followers. Were it not for Andros and Zordon's sacrifice evil would never have been destroyed. We thought it was all over. Then the Psycho Rangers returned, only the union of the Space rangers and the Galaxy rangers managed to beat them, but Kendrix, the Pink ranger, paid the affront with her life.
"Poor."
“I disguised myself as Astronema and went to get her sword Quasar, fought alongside the Galaxy Rangers against Trakeena and her henchmen, Kendrix's spirit saved me from death and gave me the morpher, so I became the new Pink Ranger. ”
"I don't believe it." You comment ironically, the more the story goes on the more what happens seems impossible, the more you see Karone as a victim and not as a villain.
“I faced one last test, freeing a man with extraordinary powers from petrification, he gave them to the red ranger. With his new upgrade, he managed to beat Trakeena. We later discovered that the new planet we reached was none other than Mirinoi, Maya's home planet. We put the swords back in the stone, so all the petrified inhabitants revived and, to my amazement, Kendrix came back to life too.”
“A truly incredible story, I wish I had adventures like yours.”
"Can you forgive me? I know I can't give you back what I took from you, and I don't know if I can bring you back to your normal size, but I can always take care of you."
While you find it hard to forget your past, you can no longer see her as the Astronema you knew.
