Debbie smiled at the tiny man in the palm of her hand. This prank was gonna be too good. She shot him a quick wink. Realizing she was breaking character, she redeemed herself by saying, "Have fun little bug."
This started to send a chill down Cody's spine, though his thoughts were interrupted when he felt himself falling. Cody screamed, and Debbie thought she may have even heard it. It was high pitched and nearly inaudible.
Cody landed in the cakes frosting with a splat. He tried to yell for help but his mouth was instantly filled with chocolate. He was now covered head to toe in chocolate frosting. He squirmed desperately to get to his feet but found it just too slippery.
Debbie kept smiling as the watches the comical situation unfold. Then she heard footsteps entering the room. "Hey you," she said in a cheerful voice, as her new friend Erica sat down and handed her a cup of coffee.
Nonchalantly, Debbie pushed the slice of cake that Cody was on towards Erica. "Thank you," Erica said and proceeded to have a long conversation, getting to know her new neighbor.
Cody was terrified. In front of him was his goddess of a pregnant wife, and he was just a measly bug to her. But not just any bug. A bug with nowhere to go who was in serious danger of being eaten.
Erica lowered her fork into the cake, and took a bite. While it didn't seem like anything to hear, she had nearly crushed her husband with the fork. This was repeated time and time again until there was only one big bite of cake left.
Erica looked at the cake hungrily and licked her lips. She lowered her fork until it made contact with the last bite.
Debbie eyes widened as she saw what was about to happen. Before she could say anything, Erica speared the piece and raised it up to her mouth.
