This choice: Zorua manages to get away! • Go Back...Chapter #19Zorua escapes by: Unknown Zorua snickers to himself, quite proud of his day.
He got back to his size, got revenge on Celebi and on her dumb friend and pulled the best prank ever! Now, something in his stomach after starving for a week and he could call this ‘the perfect day’.
... If he managed to escape the raging Celebi, who was still chasing him.
"Stop Zorua!" she growled from behind him, he could hear the anger in her voice.
He started snickering.
"Make me!" he snapped back, focusing.
And, before Celebi had the chance to use her psychic powers to catch him, a tree suddenly appeared out of nowhere in front of her.
She attempts to stop, but she isn't able to do so as she bumps into... a fake tree.
The fairy opens her eyes again, noticing that the tree had disappeared. It doesn't take long for her to realize that Zorua just used his illusions.
"ZORUA!" she shouted as she looked around, expecting a snickering fox... instead, she noticed that no one was there.
Instead, the trees in front of her seemed to have doubled...
Celebi quickly realizes that Zorua had used his illusions again. She couldn't distinguish the real trees from the fake ones. If she ventured into the forest, she would get lost... the only option was to turn back.
Celebi sighed. Zorua got away.
He won.
Bitterly, the grass type turns around as she makes her way back to the town.

Zorua laughed in elation.
He was FREE! Free from Celebi, free from Lopunny, free from being a miserable speck!
Plus, he would never forget Celebi's face at the sight of the chaotic town.
Priceless!
With those happy thoughts, Zorua kept running through the forest. There was no way Celebi was still following him. If she did, she would have gotten lost, and she was smart enough to not even try.
So, Zorua was free to continue running in direction of the village. He just had to reach HIS forest.
Then, the inhabitants of the village would get what they didn't in Zorua's week of inactivity.

Celebi sighed as she returned to the hill where the fake Lopunny dragged her earlier. She watches the town; pokemon apparently took notice that the Tauros weren't actually real.
Some were confused about the whole thing, some still startled.
But one pokemon in particular, Celebi notices, was giggling while sitting on the ground.
Lopunny.
Quietly, Celebi moves in direction of the town, reaching her bunny friend.
"Lopunny?" she calls out.
Lopunny looks at her, still giggling.
"Hey Celebi!" she chimes cheerfully.
"Did you see all that?"
Celebi frown. Was this another one of Zorua's tricks? A parting gift?
"Lopunny... Is that really you?" she asks. The big bunny laughs.
"Of course it's me! Oh it was so fun~!" she exclaims.
Celebi sighs. Definitely Lopunny.
"Yeah... fun..." she thinks.
It was best for Lopunny to not know anything about Zorua. Otherwise, she would surely ask about him over and over. She already mentioned she wanted to meet him when she came to Celebi's house a week ago.
But, secretly, Celebi had already decided: whenever she gets back to the village, she'll go find Zorua.

It was nighttime when Celebi finally could head home.
The festival was canceled... but Lopunny insisted Celebi stayed at her house for a bit before going home.
Finally, Celebi reached the village and yawned, before deciding what to do.   indicates the next chapter needs to be written. |
