“You know what?” said Gloria as she waved her hands around in a theatrical way. “Maybe you just don't get it, Bill. My mom always taught me to never take no for an answer, and I'm not taking one today.”
“Maybe that's why you're such a spoiled brat.”
“How DARE you!? God, if only you knew how rough I had it. If only you knew what I've had to go through, how hard I've had to work to get where I am. All of this, Bill? The clothes, the money. My mom never gave me any of it! I've been working my ass off ever since I was twelve, saving up every last penny. I don't even have a car! My mom doesn't even know about Tom! She won't allow me to date anyone, so I've had to sneak behind her back to do it! Didn't you ever wonder why it's always me going to Tom's house and not the other way around? Because if she ever saw Tom, I'd be grounded for life! I'd never be allowed to leave my room!”
“I'm...I'm sorry” said Bill. “
Gloria relaxed and relented a little bit.
“It's OK, Bill. You didn't know. You don't have a crazy control freak for a parent. You don't know what it's like.”
Bill had felt bad about this entire situation to the point where he had momentarily forgotten about his gemstone, still glowing in Gloria's hand.
“Sometimes...I just wish I had somebody that I had somebody. A brother, a sister...anybody who knew what it feels like!”
Just as Gloria finished her dramatic soliloquy, the Ahn'Ger stone flared its cold, emerald light. Gloria noticed the stone had grown very cold and dropped it to the ground.
When she picked it up, Bill was gone.

In his place stood a six year old girl. The girl bore a strong resemblance to Gloria. Her long black hair was covered by a pink headband and her green eyes were sparkling, suggesting some sort of mischief that she was planning to unleash very soon. She was clearly a fan of Disney, as her long pink skirt was covered in the various Disney princesses, and her backpack carried the icons of Anna and Elsa on it.
“What just happened?” she said in her high pitched, little girl voice. When she heard it, she was immediately mortified. She looked up and saw Gloria, standing there with the Ahn'Ger stone in her hand.
“Come on Natasha” said Gloria with an impatient air in her voice, albeit one that sounded much more benevolent tone that she had spoken to with Bill a moment ago. “Mom couldn't take you to school today, so I'm walking you and I don't want to be late.”
